Hi, there. I'm Ian Chappell former Australian cricketer. i'm here at half time with FlemboIslands captain Michael Mingol. First off, hows the shoulder Michael?
I'm not going to lie to you Ian, not so good. The physio's freezed it to stop the swelling and temporarily stop the pain but it's bruised over quite quickly.
Mind if we take a look?
Nah, go for it.
Looks nasty
Feels even nastier, I can tell you.
So then, Michael. Your teams innings, what are you're main thoughts.
Alright, Ian, I'll be honest with you. I think all of us as a team felt we could've gotten more. We had people making starts like Elias, Wilburn and myself but that wasn't enough. Maybe if I'd been able to be in a bit longer or if Wilburn had been slightly more assertive and the rest of the team chipped in with support maybe we could've reached the 130-140 mark.
And what do you think of everybody's individual performances?
Well I think the team did well for going into the unknown and not knowing what to expect. Hats off to Wilburn and Elias for getting us out of trouble earlier on. But as I say it's a shame a few others couldn't stay in longer and support them.
And what will you be looking to do out in the field.
Well I've told the lads I want nice tight and economical bowling which will keep us in the game. also some early wickets will be key.
Looking on to the rest of the series. D'you think you'll be able to play the next match.
Well I really do hope so, I'll be guttered to miss out on our first International match but, who knows. Hoepfully my shoulder will heal over in time.
Alright well best of luck
Yeah You too, Ian.
Well Michael Mingol there, and here's hoping his shoulder heals in time for their important match against Bermuda. Stick around as we'll have the announcement of the Bermuda squad coming up next.
