Flintoff ruined World Cup: Vaughan

Vaughan does have a point, however I dont know what he is thinking by coming out and saying it publically, it should have been left in the dressing room, by coming out and saying it now he's only causing more problems with morale.

exactly what i was saying

england players didn't gave much importance to the world cup.....

they only want ASHES,ASHES,ASHES,ASHES,ASHES.........

they didn't show any spirit to win the games...except the last one...

The Media (in this case The Guardian) have blown it out of proportion and twisting words. Tbh Flintoff should take responsibility at least partly for the WC as his performances on the field were poor and off it were irresponsible.

The incident may have had an effect on the team`s morale but Vaughan could have handled the question more responsibly.

I think it shows that Vaughan can express himself a little more under Moores. Sometimes public criticism is helpful, but do note that Vaughan never actually blamed Flintoff.

Well Fred and Vaughan have sorted out the matter between them, case shut.

Atleast Flintoff played in the world cup and Vaughan was at home on his butt watching it so he can't complain.

Even if Vaughan wasn't in the World Cup, and he was, you were sitting on your butt during the World Cup annoying all of us, so don't go any further.:rolleyes:

but bringing it up now when the team are playing so well?

I don't think it would be so bad if Freddy was playing, but the fact that he is away from the England camp on the going-ons there, I guess that must have made the comments worse...

I'm surprised that paper didn't try and blame the dismissal on the influx of Polish immigrants tbh.
