The current ability is a bit harsh on younger players, but they have higher potential ability. So you will see the older players getting regular first-team spots at the start, but after a while the young guys will break in and establish a spot. For example your player has a current ability around 75 whereas the top player has 105. But also in saying that your potential ability is quite high, it is about 185 i think. So big potential there!

Woot, 185 is brilliant!

Anyway I meant to say lets see which FM06 player can manage our team the best.

Sorry mate i saw that you posted this yesterday but didn't have time to reply because i was suppose to be doing my homework!
It is too late to join the first or reserve teams, but the best i can do for you is overwrite one of the youth players with your name.
The only thing the player would have though is your name and position, the stats are random.

get back to me if your interested in that proposition.

OK, i'll overwite the youth player with the most potential.

Edit- There are some save game editors around. I have used one before but it caused my game to crash. If anyone who was tried one that worked, if they could direct me to it i would be able to add more players into the team.
