Things not going at all well. 56/7 after 16 overs :facepalm. It's just an annihilation. I'm not a quitter but if there was a 'Quit' button, I'd click it.

Make that 70 all out. :facepalm

:laugh Well I suppose it was to be expected :p

Considering I started last week I think I did pretty well. :p As the TopGear motto goes, "Ambitious but rubbish".

Good start for my guys there. Big loss for aussie there so it's looking hopeful for being 2 wins out of 2. :banana2

Score 376/6 from my 50 overs thanks to centuries from Lihou and Punchihewa :) It's a slow wicket and overcast as well :D

They're 20/1 after 6 so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna win by a huge margin

Iridium XI won by 307 runs :D

Didn't think I'd ever win by that big a margin. Got to 360/8 from my 50 overs, thanks largely to a century from my No. 7, Maxwell Phelan. He scored 147 from 99. We started to wobble a bit after a steady start and dropped to 119/5 but Thirunarayan and Phelan combined for a 172 run partnership at better than a run-a-ball. Thiru missed out a ton, out for 90 from 77.

Then the carnage continued as Kettles and Garrick picked up 4 wickets a piece, and van Dalen picking up 2/9 from 5, restricting runs from coming early on. They eventually were all out for 53.

Really glad to have found someone to slot into the lower order. Usually after I'm 5 down, the innings is over soon after. This win pushed me up to 2nd in my league, for now anyway. Wellington Firebirds look like the team to beat for me.

wow! You absolutely wasted them. I suppose you are in the sixth division but still :p That definitely would have helped your NRR.

The team I'm playing are 74/3 after 19.5 so yea, they're definitely not going to get close to my total.

Yea, I know its not a win against a top flight team but a win is a win. Besides, I haven't been playing long. Still got a long way to go before I can compete against stronger opponents. I mean it was only yesterday I got toppled for 70 all out. :laugh

Oh you've definitely got your game wrapped up. Just looking through your league and I saw this:

Tbones tools won by 447 runs

501/5 from his 50 overs.

End of over 22 (14 runs) - Saurashtra Lions(158-1) RR 7.18
V. Sehwag 76 (54b) , G. Gambhir 73 (75b) , E. Bekedam 6-0-56-0
That is the 150 partnership (151 runs, 126b, 14x4, 2x6) SR:119.84

Greatest opening pair meet again...

Wanderers added 3 Minutes and 17 Seconds later...

22.2 W Venkatesann to Gambhir : Bowled him! A lone spectator in the crowd looks particularly upset at the outcome of that delivery. I can see a book in his hand that may lend a clue to his identity, "History's Greatest Shaftings".....
G. Gambhir b. A. Venkatesann 73 (77b 6x4 2x6) SR:94.81

And gone... :facepalm

That is 100 runs for Sehwag (101 runs, 72b, 10x4, 1x6) SR:140.28

Sehwag scored another century after yesterday's 150 against Baggy Blue...

End of over 35 (6 runs) - Saurashtra Lions(244-4) RR 6.97
T. Logan 0 (0b) , V. Sehwag 116 (86b) , B. Clarke 8-0-46-3
34.6 W Clarke to Yogesh : The only thing that was missing was the bat. As plumb as they get!
A. Yogesh lbw b. B. Clarke 4 (2b 1x4 0x6) SR:200.00

34.5 4 Clarke to Yogesh : Half volley and smeared straight back past both the bowler and umpire. Neither had time to move a muscle, if that had been any straighter we may have had a fatality on our hands.
34.4 W Clarke to Sangakkara : The straight yorker did the job and the timber goes flying.
K. Sangakkara b. B. Clarke 35 (42b 1x4 1x6) SR:83.33

Is this a turning-point?

Wanderers added 1 Minutes and 47 Seconds later...

35.3 W Venkatesann to Sehwag : Terrible batting from Sehwag. I could have driven a double decker bus through the gap between his bat and pad, so it's no surprise to see the off stump pegged back.
V. Sehwag b. A. Venkatesann 116 (89b 11x4 1x6) SR:130.34

And now Sehwag gone... 14 overs to go and last two batsmen on the crease... :(

Close game going on at the moment. A green pitch, I restricted them to 258, Kwistel 3/49, Phillips 2/53 and Fiebig 2/57 with Tindall taking 1/50 while James kept it tight with 0/38. I lost Taafe (7) and Byrne and O'Leary for golden ducks to be at 3/35 after Elgin had scored most of the early runs but Elgin and Ali put the game back into the balance, Elgin 62 and Ali currently 76*. Oldroyd is now on 7* and I am 182/5 from 36 overs (with 18 leg byes) and require 5.5 an over from now on to win. I think if Ali bats out the innings, we will win.

38.1 W Clarke to Logan : It's up! Kentwell is coming round quickly for it... and takes the catch! Rash thinking and a bit of premeditation from Logan has him on the way back to the pavilion.
T. Logan c K. Kentwell b. B. Clarke 6 (6b 0x4 0x6) SR:100.00

A good start but collapse :facepalm:facepalm:facepalm all in vain
