does 7300GS sell for 4000? and 6600GT is around 6000 dear.
In the real world, the 6600GT 256MB version goes for Rs. 9000 or thereabouts at Nehru Place in delhi. You can get it for Rs. 8100 (the cheapest I could find) if you refuse the bundled games and TV connectors.

U need an upgrade in bargaining skills :p

I know people u got it for Rs6000 256mb, and I myself was able to bargain with a dealer to sell 6600 nonGT 256mbfor Rs 2,600.

And in fact 7600GT is around 10.5k and up and 7600GT =2* 6600GT

7600GS is arounf 7000and up, and it's a lot better than 6600GT.
no way that 6600 GT sells around 9000.the dealer is looting u :D

All dealers I talked to (more than 20) were agreed upon this price.

Mind, these are XFX cards - which are the best and most overclockable. With 3 years comprehensive warranties.

i've got few questions.

I got a laptop, IBM R52 with 64MB ATI mobility X300. Cricket 2005, recommends atleast X300.

My previous laptop had a 32 MB ATI Mobility 7500 and cricket 2005 worked fine. But on this one, it doesn't work. Its very very very slow.

What can i do?

hey I have bought Nvidia Geforce XFX 6600 GT 256 mb PCI-E card 3 weeks ago for Rs 7600,its good.Playing most of the games. And also 6600 GT is available in AGP.

The new laptop also has a 1.0 GB RAM, and a 64 MB Mobility X300. I can't figure out why Cricket 05 fails to work but on a 512 MB RAM laptop with 32 MB ATI 7500 it does.

I have the 6600 GT. It is a pretty good card, I'd already splashed out on performance on most of the other things (mainly motherboard, because thats one of the few things you don't upgrade very often on a PC; only when the best technology its supports - in my case namely the Pentium D Extreme Edition becomes obsolete).

Anyway, it is a pretty decent graphics card, like everyones said it will pretty much play everything. Of course, if you have a decent PC behind it it will do better.

that's strange.
have u tried updating drivers?

I couldn't find the drivers from ATI website. I've heard of Omega drivers for X300 and few other versions. I'll try installing them.

Also, when i open the task manager, i see about 85~ programs running. May be thats one reason..but with 1.0 GB RAM, its still not that much.

85!!! OMG
I also have 1gb, but there are about 25 max.

as for drivers, check there support, and go to motherboard drivers.
x300 is a motherboard( onboard) graphic chipset.

Here is another problem...

My brother received his laptop, and it has 1.0GB RAM, 80GB, 512 ATI Mobility X1400 hypermemory...and still, cricket 2005 runs slow!

We have univerisity laptops, and therefore there are so many programs running.

post a pic of task manager, and idle CPU utilization.

This may sound obvious, but can't you close most of those programs ? University laptops or not, you'll surely not be using 85 programs at the same time, and they can started again any time you want.
