Geraint Jones

keep Jones but Drop Bell I don't really care if it's his home ground if the selectors don't drop him this match they will regret it as Collingwood is an more athletic fielder good seamer and a fantastic test batsmen he nurdles he takes the one's and two's and he puts away the bad balls and he already has shown that in the Natwest Series so I think that if Bell isn't dropped England will LOSE!!! the Ashes 5-0

Keep Jones for the second test. If he directly causes you to lose it, then you can drop him and win the next 3. That's a plan!

For my money bring in
Thorpe for Bell,
Read for Jones,
Batty for Giles,
Stuart Law for Vaughan,
Anderson for S.Jones

Thats thier best option.

ARE YOU JOKING WITH ME ANDERSON SIMON JONES WHAT ARE YOU ON. I AGREE WITH THE REST EXCEPT THE VAUGHAN AND STUART LAW TO DO YOU EXPECT THE SELECTORS TO DROP THE CAPTAIN THEY WOULD BE VERY TICKED OFF AND BRAVE TO DO THAT I'M THINKING ABOUT GILES AND BATTY I THINK THEY SHOULD PICK GRAEME SWANN AS HE CAN BAT
THORPE'S RETIRED TO SO THEY SHOULD PICK COLLINGWOOD FOR BELL.

Well if they're gonna make a change they've gotta do it this test. If they leave to the third test then its going to be too late!

Law is too old, Read can't bat Thorpe has retired. Batty hasn't done well enough when in an England Shirt, test average of 60.

I'm still not sure what Simon Jones has done to warrant a spot in this side. He hasnt proved himself at domestic level or international level. Average of 32 at FC and Test Level. Average of 39 in ODI's, and 51 in List A.

Law might be old but surely will score more runs than Vaughan.
It isnt that Thorpe retiered long time back its just a fortnight.
Well I didnt see Jones score a century either also Read won 1 ODI match in WI.
Well Giles hasnt done good either and he is a crap to be called to a spinner.

Actually JONES MADE A CENTURY ON HIS DEBUT AGAINST NZ SO I'D CHECK UP IF I WAS YOU AND SOHUMMISRA I SAID THE ANDERSON SHOULDN'T REPLACE JONES SO CHECK WHAT YOU SAY BY THE WAY YOU LOT ARE FORGETTING THAT BELL ISN'T GOOD IN MY OPINION COLLINGWOOD IS BETTER AND GRAEME SWANN CAN SPIN THE BALL SO CAN GARY KEEDY ALTHOUGH HE'S 30 BUT ATLEAST HE CAN FIELD NOW THANKS TO 20/20 CRICKET THE FINAL WAS GREAT WAS DISSAPPOINTED THAT THE LIONS DIDN'T MAKE IT BUT THE MATCH WAS THE BEST ON THE DAY BY FAR LOOKS OF WICKETS AND RUNS THAT'S WHAT 20/20 WAS MADE FOR ALSO 20/20 GAVE FLINTOFF A BOAST THAT'S WHAT HE SAID

If he fails again in the 2nd test then maybe its time for him to be dropped. This means he should score runs and do well keeping.

He is our best option by far. Next in line would be Prior who has no test experience and has only played vs ZImbabwe as a international cricketer.

could have had 5-for in the last Ashes, he has talent. Doesn't get picked for Glamorgan though.

Vaughan is looking dodgy i admit it but plays to the occasion, Thorpe isn't an option i feel he lacks enthusiasm for us as he has already announced his retirement something which doesn't do well in our cricket, athers and stewart averaged 20 after announcing retirement. Read can't bat Jones can. Jones had an off day admittedly but only dropped two catches which cost us about 15 runs max. Pietersens drops cost us 120 but no one is talking off dropping him. Giles bowled ok but was demolished by the Aussies. He'll play up as it's Edgbaston.
