hi, i was wondering if anyone has a) bought a picture from them, if so how much for and what was the size of the image? b) know what equipment they use? I was at the super test and i saw a group of them infront of me and i was looking through my binoculars at their cameras and couldnt find out what they are.

My guess is they use nikon digital camera's, the D2X or something, these are generally accepted as the best digital slr cameras. As for buying an image, I suppose you could but generally their customers are the media (Newspapers etc).

I looked at the prices and its very expensive! You need to register to buy them and if you are registered every month or so they post you a nice like booklet about them and their services but it doesnt make up for the prices!

The picture below would cost ? 105.00 GBP to use for one day on a "secondary page" ie. not the front page of a commercial website aimed at the UK. To use on a poster with 1/8 of the post used up by the image it would cost ? 375.00 GBP for one month on 5 posters in the UK! For a computer game for 10 years sold worldwide it would cost me ? 1,310.00 GBP.

Although I suppose the prices seem expensive for someone making a game that price would be nothing really.

Try e-mailing the "Getty" guys. The license fee might be lesser for personal use.
