That's a surprise, my friend's Dad works at Anglian Windows! :D

You may not know that the Anglian Windows headquarters is very near to Manor Park, the home of Norfolk County Cricket Club! :)

It seems that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Globalisation is the main key here. All of the big companies such as Nike are turning over so much money with hardly any of it going to the employees.

Absolutely. Although I don't believe in the "globalisation is the fount of all evil" theories, the celebration of riches that many people indulge in really sickens me.

Celebrate someone's learning or their contribution or their bravery or spirit, but don't blindly celebrate their riches. Please.

That's exactly correct Ritwik.

The think that I like about Bill Gates is that yes, he earns money, but he continues to provide great products such as the XBox 360 and Windows Vista to the whole world.
Donald Trump? He just spends his money on towers and hamburgers! :)

Some rich people are good, some bad.

These peoples should also realize that they are also the one who have some responsiblity towards the society. For e.g. Bill Gates, already given $6 billions in charity.

This thread has been hijacked by touring budd*a!!!:p

Well there needs to be some doubts cleared.Although there is enough truth in above, but I feel its too extreme.

turning over so much money with hardly any of it going to the employees.

Wrong. The list include stationary wealth too duff, wealth like land, bonds and many other holdings.
Saying that it hardly goes to employees is rather harsh, if u have ever seen balance sheets of these big companies, u would find there's hardly any profit.so much goes into expansion, research and many other things that there isn't any left for employees. And if they don't do the above they would simply be shown the door.

Absolutely. Although I don't believe in the "globalisation is the fount of all evil" theories,
If u had said that, I would have kicked u into orbit! however u didn't hence safe:p

the celebration of riches that many people indulge in really sickens me.

Yeah, its sad.
Celebrate someone's learning or their contribution or their bravery or spirit, but don't blindly celebrate their riches. Please.

However this has a simple theory. In ancient times, people were celebrated for bravery/honour and other things which tests the strength of soul.

However in new age, money has been associated with sucess, which in turn has always been associated with strength of soul.
Money is a simple indicator for many people to gauge a man's spirit, when they do not know the man personally.

It's true too to some extend, people like Bill gates, Steve Jobs(), dirubhai Ambani all got rich purely they had strength of soul.

I fact, the case point:IITTIANS
U know how difficult it's to get into one of these, and how much u can earn after u do graduation from these institutes. It's a simple case of vice versa.

however, I u consider siblings of rich people, and many who inherited wealth, they are rather..... disspointing.

this theory is what we call natural evolution of human behaviour :)

(It's amazing how simple concepts can explain such difficult things.)

The think that I like about Bill Gates is that yes, he earns money, but he continues to provide great products such as the XBox 360 and Windows Vista to the whole world.

*looks dissapointedly at duff*
For e.g. Bill Gates, already given $6 billions in charity.

There is much better example:Melinda gates anti AIDS campain :)

If you are serving the society there is no 'better' or 'best'.
Understanding responsibility is the most important thing, charity or aids campain doesn't matter then.
