Can anyone tell me quick fix for various tools of PS turning to cross style shape when in use? It just hampers the accuracy. I hope you do get to know what I am trying to convey.

And for those who are well acquainted with Pen tool, can anyone tell me alternative for (Alt+click) on various anchor points for smooth lines?

Oh, the cross shaped cursor is actually supposed to increase accuracy. You can change the settings from the Preferences window but it happens regardless of the settings sometimes if the Caps Lock key is on.

It actually hampers accuracy when every tool changes to that(esp. pen tool). Yeah, it actually happens on its own and changes to its traditional shape on its own too. Dunno what causes it too, I actually don't think its due to caps though.

BTW where is preference window? :P

I still don't quite get your pen tool problem.

Try it out yourself, make a huge curve using pen tool and then create another point. Now undo it and then press (Alt+Click) on the last point and then create another point. You will notice the line connecting points would bend during former and not in the later.
