Hex editing - 5 bowlers

I was wondering if anyone could help, when Boss released his rosters updates a couple of years ago the teams all contained just 5 bowlers, the 6th bowler was a duplicate of one of the other 5 bowlers so this meant the computer only ever used 5 bowlers. I want to update my roster but keep the 5 bowlers but I cant update as it doesnt allow me to save because of the duplicate bowler.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can do this I think it involves hex editing, Ive downloaded a Hex editor but I dont know where to start?
