Highest Fourth Innings Totals

Well if you consider the likes of Ricky Otto, Andy Saville, Paul Moulden, Jonathon Hunt, and Peter Shearer stars then yes it did take them two years.

So who are playing this weekend then ? And are you going ?

:)

We are playing Lincoln - they are a long ball team and we play football like ReaL Madrid, so basically the Millenium Stadium should suit our style of play. Unfortunately I can't go as I am working and was unable to get the time off :o :( :wall: :protest:

Thanks
sonic

George Parrish is the worst Birmingham player I've ever seen, how in gods name did he get in your team!

Actually Zim, there was a commentator back in th 90's who was the most die hard brum you would ever come across, but had the most annoying vocal tones - i don't suppose you'd remember him? I've heard him loads on the old danny baker video's (they were really funny) and there's this guy scremaing during a 6-0 win over Blackpool or somebody, he was really bad, in fact I think Parrish scored a couple in that game and the commentator would yell "Paarrrrrrrrriiiiiiisssssshhhhhhh!!!!!!" - he was that bad, obvioulsy very passionate  You forgot to mention Steve Claridge being in your team - what do you mean no stars?! He was a quality player

Thanks
sonic

Claridge??!! Don't mention that name to a Palace fan! He was the guy who 'shinned' in a last minute 18 yarder for Leicester to beat us in the play-off Final a few years back (and then he went on the play for Millw...no, I can't say it ;) !. Mind you, we got our own back the next year when Hopkin curled in a 20 yarder in the last minute of the Final v Sheff U.

Going back to that 90 Bournemouth team sonic, there were some quality players in there. Wasn't Harry Redknapp involved in a car accident which killed your then chairman, over in Italy in Italia '90?

no, not us Jonah, Ken Gardiner was chairman back then, and he still plays golf today with Harry... :D

by the way, have'nt we gone totally off the subject matter of the topic   :D

I did a search on google and it was Harry's best friend who was killed in the accident which Harry survived, during Italia '90. For some reason I thought it was the Bournemouth chairman.

Sorry guys, this topic should resume on the general chat forum :shutup2: ....

Steve "cleggy" Claridge. He was quality (well certainly back then)

Oops forgot about the Palace game jonah

Just 3 days to go now sonic - what you need is a bit of this.......(magic) :velho:

I read Claridges autobiography once; what a character! Used to go training somedays with a wad of notes in his tracksuit pocket so he could go straight down the bookies when training had finished (and I mean 'straight down'...no shower, nothing  ).

yeah that's true enough. A mate I used to work with told me he regularly saw Claridge at the bookies in Birmingham. Gambling was/is an addiction to him :P
