Any Rap fans here? I'm a huge rap fan. I used to like rock music a lot, but now most of the music I listen to is Rap, Jazz, and Indian Classical.

So who're your favourite artists? Got any new albums? Any new artists that can actually rap well (like Lupe!)?

I just got Ghostface's newish CD More Fish. It's feckin' brilliant! Also, got Talib Kweli's new CD, Ear Drum; it's a solid effort, but not as great as Reflection Eternal. A few days ago I got some EPMD and Big Daddy Kane as well! Good stuff!

My top favourite albums have to be from A Tribe Called Quest (People's Instinctive Travels and Paths of Rhythm) and The Fugees (The Score.) Also, I love the underground sounds of People Under The Stairs, with their newest CD Stepfather, and local Minnesota Rap Band Heiruspecs, and their CD A Tiger Dancing. The latter band, I'd say, is even better than the Roots, so check 'em out!

Errrm...i am not a massive fan of Rap, used to like a bit of Eminem, now i only listen to stuff such as Plastic Little, which is more comedy really

Yes, finnaly someone on here that can talk rap!

Well, I'm into Young Buck from G-Unit, The Game is pretty good, I am a huge 50 Cent fan (but his new stuff is just wrecking his career), I like DMX and pretty much every other East Coast rapper like Nas and that.

Oh and Eminem and D12 are awesome, Ice Cube's latest album was off the hook! Ummm...Who else? Oh, Snoop Dogg's Blue Carpet Treatment was his best yet.

And of course my favourite is 2pac....I have all his albums and he is surely the greatest MC ever in the rap game.

Nas is killer. I haven't checked out Cube's new CD, but Blue Carpet Treatment has to be one of the best Snoop CDs ever. Probably as good as Doggystyle.

Pac is arguably one of the best rappers ever. I've got nearly every CD he's made!

I do have every CD he has made lol

Cubes album is probably his best actually. I reckon it is better than doggystyle, I didnt like the whole G-Funk beats and that. And yeah, Nas with his Illmatic alum is mad.

Who is GhostFace Killa? I've heard about him, but wheres he from?

He was part of the Wu Tang Clan. They were a pretty prominent group in the 90s (I'm sure you've heard of them.) The Group is still 'together' though the 9+ members have all done solo projects. Method Man became the most famous, RZA is famous throughout the Hip Hop world for his insane beats, Inspectah Deck Genius/GZA became underground legends (in terms of technique,) Ghostface Killah never promoted himself to go for the commercial success of the others, but in terms of skill he's equal if not better.

He has a really distinctive style, with lots and lots of energy. If you're interested, look up some of his videos on youtube; every album he's made is solid, but Ironman, Fishscale, Supreme Clientelle and the newest More Fish are the most solid. Get either of the first two first if you're interested, and then more if you like his style!

Yeah, I've heard of the WuTang Clan, I reckon Methodman has made the biggest name of himself. I will look up GFK and see what hes like then. I like East Coast rap...

Jordan have you listened to plastic little yet, im desperate for you to tune in...

Kanye West and Dizzee Rascal. Everything else mainstream is a bunch of sold out idiots producing music for money and not meaning.

Kanye West is bearable, Dizzee is a legend and I can listen to bit of Nas every now and again.

The best thing about Hip-Hop is Lovejoy's dance.

"That's not hip-hop dancing; This is hip-hop dancing!"

What do you think then Jordan?

Immature:p

I like Morganics, he's an Aussie hip hop artist and producer who came to our school once to do a workshop. We got to record a mad song with him.
