How to a short or short of good length ball towards the leg-slip region?

How do I hit a short ball or short of good length ball towards the leg-slip region? For a right-handed batsman, the "backfoot shot + right arrow key" combo doesn't do the job. Is there any special trick?

no its W plus right and top arrow to play the hook shot you have to get inline with the ball and then time it and you will get it its just a matter of time and if the bounce is slow and low then w + right key will do the job

To play it towards the leg slip region, there isnt anything in the key controls. BUt with boss's AI patch, when you use "W+right arrow" key, sometimes it goes towards the leg slip region. Use an AI patch like Tutsi or boss and try it. You should be able to play it towards leg slip.

W + -> doesn't work. The ball only goes to backward square leg or square leg. W+right arrow+up arrow only plays the hook shot. What I am really looking for is a fine leg glance that will play the ball in the direction of leg slip/short stop/short fine leg. I am using Sam exe 1.2 beta patch. I don't play against the computer but against a friend. My friend plays this shot regularly but won't show me as there is a great rivalry among us.

It is all timing, just see him play. I am pretty sure he is using the front foot shot, and is playing it late. Thats all.

Well the batsman seems to be on the backfoot so I would say that he uses the backfoot shot. I have tried practising it so many times but could never get it; not even once.

Like I said, timing. Also, do you play the game at different places, like play it at his house and practic at yours, because if yes, then he or you might have a certain patch for this(or maybe he edited it himself)

So it must be timing. Watch him when e plays, at what length the ball his, when he plays it, and if it front foot or back foot. Keep practicing. You should get it.

Use the same shot u are using already(backfoot shot + right arrow key). BUT before hitting the ball move across the off-stump and hit the shot early, usualy press the combo when the ball is almost about to be delivered. u will succeed more this way . And for this kind of shot the ball has to be at least waist high otherwise little success.

Some of the variety in shots don't really work when you use a gamepad. Not many people know but if you use keyboard to play the game you can play your shots in different directions as compared to Gamepad. Mostly with game pad you do not get the same shot to go to different directions, it will stay put in one direction most of the times. Also the advance shots are next to impossible with gamepad where as with the keyboard you can play the advance shots with ease. I know lot of you guys play the ball through the fine leg slip with my patch but I can't do that myself as I play with gamepad.
