thats great how did u do that??
- Took a simple pic with not many colours (a player wearing white's)
- Made a new transparent layer
- Used the pen tool to select different areas on the player and selected the correct colour and filled in those areas (Make selection 1px). This is done on the transparent layer
- Do this for every part of the pic (it helps to do it at 300% zoom or more)
- And your done
Tips
- Use the 'stroke selection' when drawing lines or creases
- For creases use a colour that will look good with the shirt colour (creamy gold that I used works well)
- Sometimes shadows or dark bits on clothing don't look that good (e.g black bit on trousers I should delete on my vector)
Hope this helps you guys who wish to try it out. It does take a while, but do the project over a few weeks or so. Don't spend too long doing it in 1 go.
Enjoy,
Trev
