How to play fast & slow short-balls?

Fast and slow? Anyway, depending on your skill, the shortness
of the ball and the pitch, you can either hook it, duck it or leg glance it- if you're good and it's short I'd say hook, but every ball's different.

If its short and just outside off stump, I pull it. If its short and angling in towards me, I hook it. If its short and wide outside off stump I cut it. If its short and going down leg ill leave it. Obviously adjust timing depending on the pace of the ball.

i mostly glancve it off my hip or if i feel like it play the hook.the pull in this game is pathetic but funny.you'd never pull that off in areal match.

In a test match I would duck it and wait 'til a bowler bowls a bad ball!
In a ODI match and if I was Freddy Flintoff, I would hook it out of the ground and into Aussie land...

P.S. Well done India for nearly beating the Aussies in the recent test matches...England will never beat them so it is the nearest thing to beating the Aussies!
If u had a better bowling attack or at least another Anil Kumble - u would of surely won.
