Hyperlinking Signature Image, can this be done?

Guys, I've been randomly coming through few signatures with hyperlink on both left and right sides of the signature till the end of the space (in white space).

I feel uncomfortable while find that kinda signatures. Just when I click on the white space, some new tab opens up with a PCCL team thread/Graphics Thread/Cricket 2007 Downloads thread, without my knowledge. And I'm sure many others even feel uncomfortable.

And I'm aware that many link their signatures without checking if the [U.RL="www.planetcricket.org"] is before the

(which is the main reason for this). It happens without knowledge of the person doing it and everyone who's aware that something like this happens, everyone will check once and see that the Link is confined to the (300*100) image.

I've kept saying to many of my friends, who committed this silly mistake.

My question here is can it be avoided by any means?

The main reason to open this thread is to make all users check their signature hyperlink once and fix it if the white space is linked by mistake and to know if there's any method to fix it.

People who have these kind of signature hyperlinks:
Guys, all you need to do is put

before you put [U.RL="."] thing and put [/URL] before you put [/CENTRE]*
That'll fix this problem.

By the way, doing what I did has made the entire area in my signature clickable and not just the picture. I've already been redirected to our team thread countless times when attempting to scroll down.

I guess its unnecessary to open this kinda threads when people who are most experienced are doing:laugh.

Anyways, the people who have done it without their knowledge will fix it.

Hopefully a rule should come up on this thing.

I guess Sylvester fixed mine.

EDIT: I did it on purpose. I wanted the text to be black in colour. When I set it to black now, an annoying green line underlines it. Therefore, I had to change the colour to the default one. (If that made any sense. Lol )

Can you be bit clear please.

One cannot waste him time in informing all people that his signature is having white space hyperlinked and it can be fixed by doing so and so.

A suggestion:
I think an announcement by you can do the job (Like this), so that every user can have a look and rectify himself. Still, if we find anyone with white space hyperlinked on either sides/Single side of signature, we'll report.

It is more of a 'we'd rather you didn't' than a rule against doing so.
