Nope I don't think a data editor is needed, as much as it's good to correct errors it would just make it easy for people to make their teams awesome. You can change player names but needing to develop players is good.

ICC is great in the sense that it uses statistics instead of attributes to tell you who's good. Attributes being hidden is a good thing because in real life, you can't tell who's good and who's bad by looking at their skill rating.

Also we should be able to change players role/style in their teen age ,like an 16/17 year old player started his career as military medium pace with little bit batting talent and then changes his role to a legspinner and with dramatic improvement in batting too.

We should be able to mould players in their teen in to wat ever player we want (but remember only few players should have this elasticity (like 1/10) Although with certain evolution restriction

Like an 18 old RM can develop in to 23/24 RMF or a spinner depend upon the success
RMF can develop in to RFM or RF if improves is speed dramatically as well as deteriorate in to RM as well.
RFM can develop in to RF or deteriorate in to RMF as well
same for RF.

One more thing about he player development is that it should be like FiF08 player development where it had development classes
1)Early Boom ,with normal prime length ,short prime or longer prime
2)Stage by stage development with normal prime length ,short prime or longer prime
3)Late development with with normal prime length ,short prime or longer prime
4)Stop and Go development with uncertain prime.

Let me explain player like Wasim Akram will be categorized in Early Boom with longer prime ,McGrath will be classified in Late development with longer prime ,Waqar would be Early Boom with Normal Prime ,Shoaib will be in last category ,Flintoff will be in Stage by stage development with normal prime ,Harmisson will be in stage by stage along with short prime.

They have mentioned that there are attributes but not whether they are visible. If they are visible it wont be long before an editor is released. If there are visible attributes i want them to be in depth, not just offside and onside as in other cricket games like Cricket 07 or BLIC.
Individual rating for every shot and stuff like bat speed and reaction time etc. would be awesome. Yawn, ...maybe in 50 years.:crying

I would like to see this type thing in the game maybe not so much the spinner situation though it does happen, Murali was a RM Giles was though im not sure at what paced he bowled at once a quicker bowler, i just think this is alot rare, correct me if im wrong on that. Also quick note I believe RMF is quicker than RFM in the game though people debate which should be said to be the quicker.
The rest you talked about though id like it in the game is not going to happen in the short or long term sadly.

Actually its there, different youth have different development rates some develops early and some late but it is all messed up you can clearly tell by looking at salaries that whose gonna develop at what rate.

Yes! Finally. ICC3 turned me off because it was waaay too slow. I wasn't able to hold down enter to skip through the overs in a test. And the graphics were so dodgy!

We are working on forming a relationship with Childish Things. Dean (aus5892) is dealing with it afaik.

As Sureshot said, I am currently in talks with someone from Childish Things in the hopes of getting some info, I will let you know if we can.

Although the graphics engine looks to be the same, as I said before, the gameplay engine seems to be back to the good old days of ICC 2006/05, and the commentary screen looks better with the ball tracker as part of it as well. Basically, they've taken the better graphics and the better gameplay layout and I'm glad to see that.

P.S. Just to clear a misconception up here, the game is called ICC 2008, not 4, according to the box art and recent press releases.

1.Is it the correct Australian ODI kit this time ?

2. In 2 player matches you could only choose international sides but not County , is this the same for 2008 version ?

You can choose county in two player game(even in previous versions) you just have to click on LOAD PREVIOUS SAVED FILE (or something like that).
