Tell me how on earth can Onions be nominated for Cricketer of the Year???? He couldn't even crack the England XI for the Oval Test.

Sure he had a couple of good Tests v the Windies and a good spell in conjunction with Anderson at Lord's but that seems like it. What am I missing?? Seems a ridiculous nomination.

Umpire of the Year: ? (They all suck, yes even Simon Taufel).

Jesse Ryder better get emerging player of the year. None of the other nominations have done anything in the other form of the game. Averaging 50 with the bat in test cricket and 40 with the bat in ODI's.

I really have no idea who would win the test player of the year. There's at least 5-6 guys that could win it.

Edit: Okay I'd give my vote to AB de Villiers for cricketer of the year and test player of the year.
