ICC Ban Sledging

I fully support this ICC decision. Personal, scathing attacks aren't needed in sledging.
Yeah, that's what I like about it, too. If people seriously think that stopping people from acting like kindergarten students will decrease the level of cricket, they need to buy some more toys.

Were personal verbal attacks ever allowed in cricket?

I dont get why everyones crying just because sledgings been taken out, it's not like the players skills are being decreased or anything so wtf is wrong with you lot? I mean you'll still get the full entertainment of top players etc....

Plus it might stop idiots like Sreesanth look like........idiots.

Depends what you define as personal. Because "Hey KP, you missed that by a mile" is personal because you are going for the person but also "Hey, Anderson, I slept with your wife" crosses the line.

Sledging hasn't been banned. Personal, scathing attacks have been.

So We don't include Personal,Sacthing attacks in to Sledging,Do we???
Have they banned Sledging or personal atacks???
If only Personal Attacks then Sledging is allowed!!!!.

Im confused.

I think anything apart from mocking cricket ability has been banned.

I think...

haha thats a retarded thing to do..will ever workand if it does it will kill the game in many ways

Yeah, the part we want changed.
How old are you? You sound like an old women who can't handle a little bit've verbal.

Sledging adds that extra dimension to the game of cricket which makes it that extra bit exciting and keeps our eyes tuned.

You can really tell who got bullied and picked on at school and who didn't judging by some of the reactions in this thread.

Sledging has NOT been banned! Personal attacks have, which are a disgrace anyway.

You can also tell who the people are who jump to conclusions rather than reading the many links and quotes provided.
