m_vaughan, your stories are a fantastic read, keep them coming :)

Also, as an aside, to simulate 'rain' affected matches, whenever rain probability is medium or high, I sometimes use savtweak and make the matches 45 or 40 overs a side. (even 20 in exteme circumstances)

yes i read your post regarding that defeat at the hands of zimbabwe...it is bad start no doubt...but you have enough time and matches to bounce back....while i am almost certainly eliminated from the tournament.

Update from the England v Kenya Group C game.........

UPDATE:
Kenya 272-8 (50 Overs)
K. Otieno 67(127)
S. Tikolo 63(71)

J. Anderson 3-55
I. Blackwell 2-26

England 355-5 (50 Overs)
see earlier posts for details of England innings

ENGLAND WIN BY 83 RUNS

Kenya lost Ravindu Shah early, but Kenedy Otieno and Steve Tikolo gave England an early scare. However the target of 356 was a bit too much for the Kenyans, as the required run rate kept on increasing, despite the Kenyans maintaining a decent scoring rate. Ian Blackwell and Ashley Giles were the only two bowlers who were able to contain the Kenyan batsman. Otieno top scored with 67, but Tikolo's 63 was the highlight of the Kenyan innings. Kenya at the end fell 11 runs short of preventing England gain the additional bonus point. James Anderson finished with figures of 3-55, while Ian Blackwell had figures of 2-26.

Man of the Match: Marcus Trescothick
