I'll go with Nitish Rana.

rana_647_042617042611-770x433.jpeg
Nitish Rana
A hard-hitting batsman who could score runs consistently and could also bowl part-time leg spin. Nitish Rana made his IPL debut in 2016 for the Mumbai Indians. Although it was tough for him to get into the side initially but he did extremely well in his limited opportunities. This Delhi batsman was once noticed by the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar in a training camp and he asked that who was this guy and said that he looked very talented. Ricky Ponting used to tell him that, "Don't defend the ball, you are a hard hitting batsman. Just go for your shots." He hit 4 consecutive half centuries in the 2017 IPL scoring 333 runs in 13 matches that season. Rana have dismissed both AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli in successive deliveries in IPL playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018 IPL.

Lol I am having a nightmare playing this draft.

I am staying away from pc & phone as much as I can on weekends as WFH is taking a toll on me.

Anil Kumble (45 wickets @6.5 RPO).

Hope this pick is eligible.:p

Hope you're doing fine personally!

:local: :ind: :bat: Shreyas Iyer

As i already have two aggressive batsman, i need someone who can play the role of anchor as well as not consuming too many balls and this guy serves both purposes. He is very aggressive against the spinners and hit those big ones as well. Also showed how good he is as a leader in the last season, leading Delhi Capitals to the 3rd spot. Happy to have him in my team and he will take up the 3rd spot

MS Dhoni loves his spinners. His team's strategy is focused on maximizing the advantage a home team can get and having a strong record at home. With him being particularly strong keeping to spinners, it makes perfect sense to go after a spinner. And who better than the current Indian leggie, :ind::bwl:Yuzvendra Chahal?

Now Chahal is quite easily the best bowler RCB has ever had in their history. He is their leading wicket-taker by quite some distance and has an economy of 7.74 when playing at home in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Those are outstanding numbers when you consider the size of the stadium and the lack of assistance for spin in most games. Despite the obvious disadvantage of playing for a side that has very poor planning and backroom support, Chahal still has 101 wickets @ 22.61. The best attribute about him is that even on the days where he is bound to concede heavily which isn't too often, he still manages to take an important wicket or bowl one crucial over that helps his side immensely. Unlike most other leg spinners, Chahal does not rely on mystery or a very quick delivery and instead simply focuses on turning the ball and being as accurate as possible, attributes that Dhoni particularly likes. In addition to that, their shared experience together playing for India will surely help him in addition to the Dhoni factor for spinners.

From running that single off the last ball against Trinidad & Tobago to win the match for the Mumbai Indians back in 2011 CLT20 to being the best spinner for his national side, Chahal has come a long way!

I remember that 2011 CLT20 he bowled a few match winning spells for MI. I think that is where he learnt a lot of things like handling pressure. Mumbai were not scoring much in that entire tournament and it was young 19 year old leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who bowled economical spells to keep MI in the game.

I still remember that T&T game as well as Malinga's power hitting throughout the tournament

:ind: :local: :wkb: Dinesh Karthik is my first pick. DK is the 9th-highest Indian run-scorer in the history of the IPL with a tally of 3654 runs. His highest score is of 97*. He also has 18 fifties to his name. These stats might not be as impressive as somebody like Virat Kohli or Suresh Raina, but the primary reason for his selection is the fact that he'll fill the wicket-keeper's role. A wicket-keeper who can both, play as a proper innings-builder in the middle-order or he can also play as a pinch-hitter down the order, if needed. And if he can replicate his onslaught against Bangladesh in the Nidahas Trophy final, then we're good.

EDIT: Only just discovered this, he also holds the record for most catches as a wicket-keeper with 101 catches to his name, ahead of MS Dhoni at two with 94 and REDACTED at three with 66. That's a big difference between number one/two and number three.

@ahmedleo414, it's back to you.

Among the local opening batting options remaining, few have a better record than that of Shubman Gill who has already racked up 499 runs at 33.26 from the limited opportunities he's had over the past couple of seasons. No doubt a future IPL and international star in the making.
