Yes I am following the IPL. I think it would be great for the women?s game, creating more competition and showcasing the worlds best players from different countries. It would also be a stepping-stone to women?s cricket becoming professional.

This brings a thought to my mind.

Would you like to see women cricketer's playing alongside men, in the same team for their franchisees ?

E.g.

Caroline Atkins bowling to Virender Sehwag ?

Wold it make things interesting ?

It would be interesting until Dale Steyn seriously injures one of them. Also if it starts to get that ridiculous the ICC needs to strip them of 2020 status for the games.

Well, see ,its not a T20 International game.

So,maybe Mr Modi could very well get it done.

No doubt,he will impose some rules on the girls- i.e ' women need to use skirts while playing and the skirt should be no longer than XX cm :p'

The games have domestic 2020 status, that is what I was talking about. I never said the word International.

I doubt whether the ICC has the power to strip games of their domestic statuses.

Yea they do, ICC grants FC/OD/ODI/Test/2020/2020i status and they can take it away as well

No, that would make the game imbalanced.
But a separate IPL for them will do.

Who would buy a franchise. There's absolutely no incentive to do so. No money. Hardly anybody will watch. Close to zero sponsors.

It wont take off in India. It may draw huge crowds in Australia, RSA or England, but definitely not in India.
