First day of training! Had to get up to Worksop for around 10 ish so I left at around 7:30 after a few cups of tea and some cereal. Nearly had my lovely Audi in the ditch on the way up after some twat pulled out into the lane without looking into his wing mirriors. Had to slam on the brakes and a few moments of furocious driving to catch back up with the idiot and give him various swearing gestures and loud shouting. After that incident I got up to Worksop at around 9:50 just in time for the first training session. It was good to finally meet the lads and we had a pretty long chat introducing one another and talking about my rules and what I wanted out of the players. So we set off on our training session, starting off with a nice long warm-up consisting of various jogging exercises and stretching. I decided as it was our first training session we would have a mini 5 A-side tournament. I asked Peter, my assistant, to choose the squads and we ended up with 5 sides. We only had 2 keepers so some sides had a outfield player in goal. We had a great time I thought. My two new signings were not able to make it but would be on their way soon. Two players that impressed me were keeper, Adam Sollitt and forward Lee Morris. Overall a great first day with the alds and ready for first match with Watford
Next Day
Not much news only that Russell Cooke, Defensive midfielder, rejected my contract and wished to be able to sign on a part-time contract. This was fine by me and I re-offered a contract. Oh and I had some gorgeous Chinese food.
Next Day (again)
Naff all really. Just awaiting the big game on the 19th against Watford. Oh and a miracle ahs occurred, with Salburg accepting my offer of a free transfer on 40 year old keeper Konrad! I offered him a 1 year contract worth nearly a grand a week. But news had reached me that Salburg had accepted an offer for him from a club called Karnten! Fingers crossed...
