ATM the political going ons centering Modi's resignation are murkier than ever. Apparently, Modi has close links with Sharad Pawar, the ICC vice-preisdent, as well as a cabinet minister of the UPA coalition, which is preventing the Congress from taking any drastic steps against Modi. If I go by media reports, Modi knows a lot about the various murky dealings in which the BCCI, under Pawar, was directly involved, and Pawar fears that if Modi is sacked from his post, he might let the cat out of the bag. The franchise owners too are on Modi's side because of exactly the same reason.
Meanwhile, the BCCI heavyweights and the top brass of the Congress leadership are hell bent on removing Modi from his post. They are so desperate to mend their images which have been dented by Modi's tweets that Sasank Manohar, the BCCI president flew to Delhi today to persuade Pawar into abandoning Modi. Though Modi himself has discarded "speculations" of him being removed from his post as the IPL Chairman, I believe that he is fast losing support within the BCCI. Thing is that he is just the tip of a huge iceberg. There's a vast number of political bigwigs involved in the whole matter, and I'd like it if the people at the top, instead of convicting Modi alone, orders a transparent probe into this corruption/bribery racket and brings to light the names of the actual perpetrators. Otherwise it will be injustice done to the cricket world and the people of this country.

Pawar has pulled out support for Modi. Anyone seen standing with him now will come under IT scanner so its better to avoid this guy. In politics no one can be trusted. Your allies one day are your foes next day.
Frankly I dont give a damm about what happened in bidding or how they were won, I am only concerned with is Tax evasion. We work hard to earn our livelihood and are expected to pay Taxes while these scums are making millions and government is giving them tax exemptions.
