When my leg was broken in an horrific tackle by Lucas Neill in September 2003, my mates were ready to hunt him down if I gave the go-ahead.

A few weeks later I received a phone call. "You won't believe this, Jay. We're in the Trafford Centre and Lucas Neill is walking straight towards us. What do you reckon?"

Did I really want Neill to take a crack? "There's only one problem," added the voice. "Little Davey Thommo is with him."

That was that. I could hardly let one of my best mates, David Thompson, now a Blackburn player, become a witness to an assault. Besides he'd have recognised the attackers. The impromptu mission was aborted and I sent a text to Thommo telling him Neill should give him a hug of thanks.

As word got back to Blackburn about the near miss, or should that be hit, their coach Terry Darracott, a Scouser, appealed to one of my friends to call the boys off. I agreed.
Now, this book has actually been more honest than most autobiographies (from what I've read on the net). Criticising Liverpool fans, saying about how England in 06 wasn't really that important.

He also said that he cropped Rigobert Song in training, and went in to injure him, just because Song said he was crap.

The point I'm making is A) Who does he think he is? Some kind of Bootle mafia? and B) will he get a 5 match suspension from the FA?

Twat. They probably stole his wallet anyway.

Lucky escape. Lucus Neill is also Australian captain so it would have stuffed up Australia sort of.

LOL! what the hells up with the picture? He looks like weird... this is Neill I know.

To be honest, most England players these days probably feel the same way about playing for their national team.

How many would actually admit it though?

I think what he did with Neill is not only thuggish, it's also cowardly. If you've got something against someone and want to hurt him, do it yourself like Keane. Don't look soft by getting your mates to do it.

I don't like Jamie Carragher, but I respect him for admitting something that a lot fo England players no doubt feel as well. And keane was no less of a thug for getting his own revenge as well. It's football; it happens.

Oh if Carragher had gone out and tried to get Neill as well I'd have agreed with you. But get your mates to do it?

What he did to Rigobert Song was exactly the same and to his own team-mate. 5 match suspension, somehow I doubt he'll be getting that.

Hang on, all i'm saying is that 'extracting revenge' because of a football injury is pretty thuggish. Whether you do it yourself or get others to do it. But because your a United fan it's okay for Keane to act like a thug but not for Carragher?

Take a look at this:D:D.

You can suggest title changes on amazon and someone from Red ish did it, it was accepted and its been on there all day:D:D.

Scousers will not be happy:D. Take a look at some of the reviews as well.;)

Oh and Matt, I wasn't saying that Carragher should be hung drawn and quartered, my point is surely he should get a 5 game ban?

The sun
BBC/Eastenders
KFC (It's only a chicken!;))

Not really. He hasn't done anything wrong. If you could reprimand sportsmen for saying things in their books then Trescothick would be in big trouble.

That is what happened to Keane though. He got a 3 game ban and then when he told everyone in his book about the fact he went out of his way to get that gayer Haaland he was banned for 5 games and fined 150 grand for bringing the game into disrepute.
