top spinner (done by leg spinners):

The spinner gives vertical rotations to the ball so that it dips and pitches shorter than expected.
Also due to top spin (and hence name:top spinner), the ball kicks and rises, and goes more quickly than all other balls after pitching.Hence batsmen tend to be late on ball.

eg: kumble. has got so many dismissals with this delivery.

Arm ball( off spinner/ leg spinner)

The bowler tries to flatten the trajectory of the ball, hence the ball comes flatter, spins less, and doesn't do much. hence usually bowled in the end.

The reason its called so is that , to get max speed, bowlers has to use max amount of shoulders, while not using wrists at all.hence name arm ball . i.e no wrists involved

actually, all can.
Its just that wrist off/leg spinner would be more dangerous.and produce better top spinners.

So i reckon everyone can bowl top spinners, but it is the wristspinners that bowl them better

Everyone CAN, but doesnt mean they do...for example...its possible for a part timer (or no timer) to only have the standard delivery at their disposal and some may rather stick to the doosra or flipper or whatever they prefer.

well, they variation is more difficult to achieve than it looks.Take tendulkar, or part time spinners, they can, generally ball two stock deliveries.they are the standard one and "throw it in " type.

It difficult to achieve good variation, otherwise u will be giving free runs.

Ive seen many part timers bowl top-spinners, and one of the biggest support to that is Younis Khan from Pakistan, he is rarely a bowler, but when bowls has bowled the top-spinner many times.

But players like these ( younis, yuvraj, sehwag ) cannot be classified as part time or permanent bowlers, i would reckon they are add-on bowlers, who dont bowl longer than 2-3 overs, and come in when there is a special situation.

To Finalise, i say every bowler who is not the " add-on " bowler can bowl a top spinner.

actually, they all were developed into fifth bowlers.hence know a little bit more than normal

actually, There is a very simple soln.

why not simply limit bowling option of part timers.Lete's say that yuvraj can only bowl leg spin and the fast bowl.

and as new patches come out, in which we can allow a new ability to be given, if the player has mastered it in the real game.

how does that sound?

i agree, limit the bowling options, and we can deal with that later. Anyway, who would like to play while bowling with them lol

i thought that was what i mean in my previous post lol, DEAL WITH THEM LATER lol

and oh yes, i dont come to a conclusion at the thought of why did we come to these bowlers while we were talking about the top-spinner lol
