Disappointing in the end from the boys, but we have 13 more games to play. Hope Ntini comes back for the next game. Had either Hayden or Raina done a better job, we would have challenged that target for sure. Our bowling (except for Tyagi) was not too bad. Just that our batting didnt click today. Ntini should come back in for Tyagi (we played only 3 overseas players today). Maybe try Parthiv for Vijay. Dhoni should bat one down, no matter what the situation.

Next game is against KKR (the guys who are on a high, and that too in their home ground). I have no hopes for that game, but would be happy if we make a good fight of it.

No we didn't. Matthew Hayden, Albie Morkel, Justin Kemp, Muttiah Muralitharan.

Super Kings pace attack seemed a bit weak. They need a strike pace bowler. Albie Morkel isn't good enough with the new ball nor is Tyagi early or at the death. Last year I think they had Oram opening the bowling so the same problem still exists. You have to have opening bowlers bowling at the start. Not just your all-rounder or a 3rd or 4th bowler. Perhaps they could experiment bowling a spinner up front.

Yep CSK bowling is definitely the weak point. They have a ton of all rounders and good batters but they are lacking that strike bowler that would probably make them favourites.

Or Raina would have done the job too. If Rohit Sharma have bowled so well, I really wonder Dhoni's brain in not bringing Raina. He did well in the bowling department in last IPL too. :sarcasm

It's one of the bold/courageous gamble that didn't work for Indian captain.

or Ntini. Again, if one of these two had to come in, we need to sacrifice Kemp. Kemp is a very big hitter in this format of the game. Kemp & Morkel in the lower order should make us feel secure( like how Rajasthan Royals have Pathan ) if we get a correct start from others.

You never know Dhoni, he will go up with same line up for the next game. :laugh

Nothing wrong with the playing XI. It's very strong. The Tyagi overs killed us and the early wickets made it impossible to recover.

Will Hussy be back soon? His services will add a lot to the side (if we can fit him in!)

What about Perera? Is he any good, with the ball especially?

Perera's a hack with the bat, and a medium paced trundler. Something CSK already have plenty of.

Would have been a big risk. Kemp only bowled one over for the cobras during our local pro 20. I would have go for raina instead.

In the end the total was just too much and with the top order failing it left too much for dhoni,kemp and morkel to do.

We lost the match because we neither had an away bowling spinner nor a left arm bowler to stop Symonds and Gibbs.

Bring in Arun Karthik in place of Vijay!

I might rest Badri for a game or two and give a chance to Arun Karthik.Badri isnt at his best atm and can come back strongly.

They wont drop Badri. His IPL record is good enough. And he is a really good fielder. Maybe drop Vijay and bring in Arun Karthik. And looks like Ntini or Thushara can come in only at the expense of Morkel or Kemp (since shravi said we played 4 overseas players last game). Thats a hard choice. Kemp has to go then.
