The ICC announce new tournament.

The Icc have announced a new Twenty20 tournament for international squads in a press conference yesterday. The ICC president said it should bring excitement to the sport. As people are saying cricket is so long so this tournament will be turned in to a league so that it will never end. There will be 15 teams in 3 divisions(5 in each) and they will play the teams in their league. The top 2 teams from division 2/3 will move up to division 1/2 and the other way round. Fixtures will be announced soon but the ICC still do not know what to call it. They announced they need a sponser to name it after. The contenders battiling for the sponsorship are Mc Donalds, Umbro and Nike. Nike are the favourates at the moment. The league will only have Twenty20 matches and not test or ODI's in between. Mc Donalds and Nike have promised if they get the sponsorship they will force the ICC to create a Twenty20 world cup as well after the first season as well as the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007. Mc Donalds sports president Tim Wright announced we have a keen intrust in sports and sponsor the C&G trophy but we are now looking for something big like to arrange and organise games. The Sponsor and co Arrangers will be announced tomorrow. The ICC president has also said that ODI and Test matches will continue but will not have any Twenty20's during a tour.

What will happen will Mc Donalds win the sponsor? or will Nike win?. Find out tomorrow.

P.S no one was interested in my other story so started this one

Did Mc Donalds Bribe the ICC

Mc donalds were chosen by the ICC to sponsor the Twenty20 tournament and arrange games. The President Tim Wright announced that he was very happy that the ICC had elect them to arrange matches and teams. He then surprised everyone by saying that he was only going to have 2 division rther than 3 because lower rated teams are boring to watch and that it will be more interesting with 2 divisions. But a shock was still to come when the ICC announced that Mc Donalds would take over the ODI series arranging and leaderboards. The ICC would stick to helping them and arranging Test Series and Whole series. This was when many people thought that The ICC was bribed by Mc Donalds to allow them to sponsor and own 25% of the ICC. The twenty20 tournament will begin in 2 months and will be called the
"Mc Donalds Twenty20 League.

The ICC have been questioned why they let Mc Donalds take over the ODI department. They replied by saying we think Mc Donalds can do a good Job there. We will have to see what happens next.

 McDonalds!

THE ICC SAY NO!

The Icc were shocked at what Mc Donalds had said and disagreed imediatly.
They argued saying" New and Inexperienced teams need practice so how can we not pu them in the league". The Mc Donalds President said we are in charge of this tournament and this is what we are going to do. The ICC say they will sack Mc Donalds from cricket if they do not agree. So Mc Donalds had t agree and said only if we have a Twenty20 world cup. The ICC accepted the proposal and everything was fine but Mc Donalds now Own 40% of the ICC after bribing the ICC to allow them to arrange whole series and tests. Duncan Fletcher the England coach said he does not like the idea of Mc Donalds arranging tournaments and that it could lead to the takeover of the ICC. Tim Wright says that Mc donalds is just interested and will work side by side with the ICC. He also announced every time you go to watch a cricket match there will be a Mc Donalds store and you can get a free Happy meal for a child under the age of twelve. The ICC have agreed with Mc Donalds 2 division league and now Mc Donalds are now only allowing low rated teams t play test matches or ODI's saying they are not ready for Twenty20 level.

For the tournament The teams must have a Mc Donalds logo. Here is a preview of a England kit.

NO TEST MATCHES

Mc Donalds cricket president Tim Wright announced in a press conference today that the upcoming tour of England and Pakistan will be the last major tournament as they will arrange 5 odi's and 1 test in the next series. When asked why they said. The test matches today are quite boring and we need something new. Test matches are to slow. If we want to get people in to cricket we need ODI's and Test's. The ICC agreed with having 1 or 3 tests but not stopping them in the future. The ICC announced: we will not stop test matches but there will be aristriction only 1 or 2 test matches will be played in a series. Tim Wright announced that was exactly what we were trying to say. Mc Donalds have hired specialist ODI umpires to umpire for the upcoming tours and Twenty20 league. LG resigned as the sponsor for the ODI team leader board and Mc donalds got the job meaning they now own 50% of the ICC and Tim Wright said i will work togeather with the ICC until we have a great sport.
