MCC for a change won the toss & Bhargav decided to bat first. The pitch looked good for the bowlers and it was good decision to make use of this pitch by batting first.

The inform Hameed & Zohaib started the MCC innings steadily by posting a 50 runs partnership in 85 deliveries before Hafeez struck the blow and Ajmal took an easy catch. At lunch the total score was 115/2 with Hafeez getting both the openers and captain Bhargav & Tarun on crease.

Post lunch it was all Bhargav & Tarun show with both cruising along well. Danesh Kaneria got an important breakthrough at that time and broke 122 runs partnership. Dongre & Bhargav carried the partnership till Tea session.

Post Tea session till the end of the day Bargav & Dongre got well & their partnership of 91 was finally broken by Fawad Alam. Mohit the keeper was the next batsman in who could not stay long and gave a major blow to MCC as he was cleaned by Fawad Alam. Bhargav then became cautious & with Haqued ended a good day for MCC on 325 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
