McCullum smashes the 2nd ever 2020 Int Century after 129 match gap

JP is a good bet since hes got a good technique and controlled aggression.
But it really can go to any opener on their day, during the Champions League, Puttick scored the only 100 and no one would have been picking that.

There have been many 100s in domestic 2020s. Its a different ball game against international quality bowlers. 1 century in 121 2020 Internationals played.

Most of the 100s in IPL/CT/domestic 2020s are International quality batsman taking apart mickey mouse domestic bowlers.

I bet Yuvraj Singh can do it... If he comes in by the 6th or 7th over, he has a good chance of doing it.

lol at mickey mouse.
true razzaq hammard one in paki domestic.
afridi have a chance only if he dosent do some thing stupid.
as no bowler have delivery to get him out as he throws his wkt 99% of the time. even when he scored a 50+
like a simple catch or a easy bold etc

Agree that the standards are different, just pointing out that at times, the player that makes the 100 is completely different to who you would expect. Like someone pointed out that Martyn made 96, you definitely wouldn't have expected him to make a 100 in T20I.

You might be on the right track, it could very well be someone unexpected like a Cameron White.

I could not have predicted that Duminy would be a good 2020 player after watching him in the Test series against Aus.

I don't think White would be too unexpected, he was called our T20 specialist a while back and has a 100 already. Clarke is one you wouldn't expect to do it.

Surprised more people have not mentioned Dilshan or Jayasuria, I think the old man still has enough left to squeeze in a big innings

Dilshan will always be a chance with the way he plays, could even say hes the favourite with his form right across all three formats. Jayasuria is capable but he seems to get out a fair bit after making a start these days.

A good bet, after all the NSW attack is probably as close to an International quality attack as you can get in domestic cricket.

He is too hit or miss though, is bound to give chances and at the International level they will probably be taken. Put him in the Dilshan category I say

Problem with Pollard is he bats too low. Unless hes promoted to the top 4, he will need an epic WI collapse.
