McCullum smashes the 2nd ever 2020 Int Century after 129 match gap

I'm still amazed that no one has managed to score a century in 2020 Internationals since Chris Gayle's epic 117 off 57 balls against South Africa.

1st Match, Group A: South Africa v West Indies at Johannesburg, Sep 11, 2007 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com

Ponting, Dilshan, Gibbs and G Smith have gotten close but still no cigar.

There is no lack of centuries being scored in domestic leagues like the IPL, this is probably testament to the gap in skill level between International cricket and domestic cricket.

Who will score the next 2020 Int Centruy?

My pick:

JP Duminy - A solid batsman with a sensible head on his shoulders. Can build an innings and accelerate with big shots when needed.

i would put my money on akash chopra.

on a more serious note,
Yuvraj & AB De Villiers are equally capable of scoring a T20 century.

Gibbs and Smith have gotten close with not outs, 90* and 89* respectively

McCullum is over rated.

I put my money on JP Dumminy or someone called Gayle again.

They really need to be an opener.
Brendon McCullum, Graeme Smith, Virender Sehwag, Jesse Ryder, Chris Gayle... again.

Gautam Gambhir, Dilshan, Villiers, Sehwag...all of them have a very bright chance. Yeah, it's damn weird that that just a single person have been able to hit a triple figure score in this format thus far! Yet see, we have brilliant T-20 players in hoards.

From an Australian point of view, David Warner, Phillip Hughes or Shane Watson for mine. They have to be batting in the top four, otherwise there will be no time. Even if there was a dramatic collapse, I don't think the batsman can afford to be hitting a hundred, without risking exposing the tail....

JP Duminy or Ross Taylor, both have been so dominant in T20 Domestic.
