mch file editing question.

is it possible to edit the mch file to create scenarios? is just save a game...then edit it to give a total...overs left...wickets left etc..

then we could create scenarios!

I think it is. I added a patch made by jk to the download centre. Check that out and see if you can get any ideas.

i took a look at the file...i would like to know how it was made. i tried opening the file in notepad and could not make head or tail of it. gamechanger does not help you change the score or anything.

I took a look myself I couldn't find anything apart from players name. Ask jk or Prakash as they know more about this stuff.

I think that its colin who found out how to edit .mch files,he would know the best,so u could pm him and ask.It would be gr8 if someone put in a .mch editing tutorial.

notepad isn't the right way. i think colin did it with hex editing.

You would have to open the .mch file in a hex editor rather than in notepad. I think I will try to make a editor rather than a tutorial....

Prakash. I knew how to do some basic editing of them but not how to change scores etc. It's fairly simple once you know which bytes are which but, as Prakash says, an editor is much easier.
