Wii will be probably half the price of the Ps3 and the games will actually be affordable.

theres one problem tho , wii is not a next gen console, apart from its innovative controller, wii is a console that you might play for short bursts.and i really doubt that there will be a game like gears of war, mgs on the wii. also ps3 might be more expensive than the 360 but it is more future proof.

I understand where your coming from, especially with the new games which have evolved a lot according to E3 like Final Fantasy XIII. But the gaming market is more "affected" by the price tag and the features of a particular console.
A lot of Wii "fans" have been sucked up by the controller and the likes of using it as a sword to a steering wheel to gun etc...
Speaking of swords I watched a few trailers of Zelda...damn it looks good with or without the controller.

Out of the list it would have to be Cricket 06. But Other games i cant wait for are TCP and heaps!

wii will sell.but ppl will choose between 360 and ps3 with wii as their secondary console, have you ever seen some one play an eye toy game for a day ,let alone a week.
they are good for short bursts just like the wii you need a next gen console for hardcore gaming

You are kidding right?

My favorite game site is GameFAQs and according to these polls, you have got the wrong info.

What do you think of the Wii now? (75972 votes)

I want one, I want one NOW! - 33440 (44.02%)
Looking good, I'll probably get one - 14098 (18.56%)
I'm intrigued, but I need to try it first - 14098 (18.56%)
Other - 19.87%!

Just by those 2 polls it tells me that is is popular. It's amazing what a 2-3 weeks of gaming can do (E3).

And Wii will probably start to get a whole lot of companies taking advantage of the remote and will take advantage of the popularity too.

actually kmk, the population of hardcore gamers is too few.majority want simplicity over graphics, and wii is better in that account

well i never said WII will be a flop or something but it will simply not be as big as the other two.if you see the ds has been outselling the psp for a long time now but if you check the total sales there isnt much difference.
ppl will buy the WII but the bottomline is WII is not a next gen console and ppl want one
i ilove nintendo and WII looks awesome esp with its price but i dont look at myself playing WII for more than half an hour on stretch unless i want to play the retro games

that is the wrong notion. WII is not next gen is graphics quality, but it sure sets standard for gameplay.
And, as I said before, there are not many people who care about graphics, but many sure do care about gameplay. After all, all that eye candy becomes normal and stops to excite us in, say, about 2 months max.
After that, its all about gameplay, and Wii, no doubt, will win in that context.

It depends what we are talking about. If we are talking about sales? gameplay? evolution in gaming?

But like Leo said, in the end people are going to want the Wii because of what they see, which is a new standard of gaming instead of a Ps3 which is a new generation of games.

What do they see in a Ps3? Same old, expect better specs. What do they see in a Wii? ... everything.

We should also be paying attention to where the gaming market mainly focuses their attention.

If I get a next gen console which im debating it will be without a doubt the Wii or as I still call it...Revolution :) Why are people so bothered about graphics? Sure I've got a 7900 GTX on my computer so i'm used to great graphics but I'm not bothered either way. The thing which stands out for me on the Wii over other consoles is the controller. Also i've always bought Nintendo products and have never been dissapointed.

Which just reinforces the dictum that innovation will always win over the notion of "why fix it if it ain't broken".

try using your tv remote for an hour on a stretch and then talk about WII

I hate to say it, but I feel u have some prejudice against Wii.

No doubt PS3 is a great console, but Wii and PS3 are made to serve different crowds. There is no reason to compare them, its the end user who will decide the winner. And frankly, wii will have more users than PS3.Simply b/s those who can buy PS3 will, no doubt, buy Wii also. But not vice - versa
