Portugal Vs Italy
@ Stadium 1: 16:50 kickoff

Teams:
Portugal: Ricardo, Miguel, Carvalho, Bruno Alves, Bosingwa, Nani, Deco, Tiago, Ronaldo (C), Simao, Hugo Almeida
Subs: Eduardo, Pepe, Ferreira, Quaresma, Nuno Gomes

Italy: Buffon, Grosso, Cannavaro (C), Chiellini, Zambrotta, Camaronesi, De Rossi, Pirlo, Gattuso, Toni, Gilardinho
Subs: Amelia, Dossena, Pepe, Iaquinta, G. Rossi

Portugal Vs Italy, what a game we're in for here. My tip is on Italy by a goal but this should be very close

1st Minute: Tiago is brought down by Camoranesi and hes given a yellow

10th Minute: Nice cross in towards Toni who finishes in style
Portugal 0 - 1 Italy

Goal.jpg

A nice over the head kick by Toni finds the back of the net

14th Minute: Are you sure this isn't the other way around, Tiago does a brilliant dive for Portugal but De Rossi is sent off but he barely touched him. Thats meant to be something Italy does.

18th Minute: Portugal were in danger but Alves tackles the winger and takes it out behind for a corner.

22nd Minute: Ouch, thats gotta hurt, Nani took a run down the wing before being brought down by a slide tackle and then took out again while he was falling but the first tackle is what the free kicks for and Zambrotta is sent off. Well it was a awful looking challenge

32nd Minute: A beautiful run down the wing beating 2 defenders by Ronaldo is ended by an even better covering slide tackle by Cannavaro and Italy come back away with it.

Slide_Tackle.jpg

Cannavaro makes a superb challenge to break down Ronaldo's run

38th Minute: Well that is not a good tackle and Alves has been given red

43rd Minute: Almeida must have missed out on one of the easiest chances, he's kicked it straight at the keeper from 5 yards with noone in sight and the scores stay the same.

Half time, the score Portugal 0 - 1 Italy

48th Minute: Classy finish from Gilardinho spinning around and hitting it on his left foot which the keeper makes a mess of and it goes through his hands into the goal.
Portugal 0 - 2 Italy

70th Minute: Good pass down the line to Simao and as he collects it, Chiellini slides in dangerously taking out Simao and the ref has no hesitation giving him red.

Slide_Tackle.jpg
Chiellini is given red for taking out Simao

Full time, the score Portugal 0 - 2 Italy. That was a good game but Italy end up victors.

Goals: Toni, 10th min (Italy)
Gilardino, 48th min (Italy)

Great start mate, really looks a good story. Holland were really lucky to get a draw against USA. Portugal v Italy will be a thriller and hopefully Italy will defeat Portugal.

Great presentation mate, and KIU.

France Vs Argentina
@ Stadium 4: 20:30 kickoff

Teams:
France: Mandanda, Evra, Gallas, Mexes, Sagna, Malouda, Vieira, Diarra, Ribery, Henry (C), Benzema,
Subs: Lloris, Abidal, Toulalan, Govou, Anelka

Argentina: Pablo Carrizo, Heinze, Burdillo, Demichelis, Zanneti Messi, Mascherano (C), Veron, Maxi Rodriguez, Tevez, Aguero
Subs: Andujar, Colloccini, Cambiasso, Riquelme, Lopez

We're in for another thriller here, literally nothing to separate the sides on this clear night. My money on a draw for this match, but we've already seen two upsets through paraguay beating romania and USA drawing Holland.

5th Minute: France has taken an early lead!! Henry made a fabulous run and an even better finish
France 1 - 0 Argentina

10th Minute: 10 minutes of tight football on here, some good tackles, no fouls as yet though

11th Minute: A nice header inside the box from Mexes stops a dangerous free kick taken by Aguero.

Header_3.jpg
A nice header from Mexes stops a well taken free kick

13th Minute: Well that wasn't smart, was it. Hes come in from behind while they still had numbers but Sagna has been sent off. Very good area for Argentina to get on the board

13th Minute: Easy work for the keeper as he saves Aguero's free kick

23rd Minute: A nice bowl from Vieira to Henry towards the center of the field who puts it off to Benzema who is brought down by Heinze just outside the box and is lucky not to get a card.

24th Minute: Benzema fires a powerful shot from the free kick which slots in in the top left corner clipping the post on the way in.
France 2 - 0 Argentina

32nd Minute: A chance for Argentina as they run in-field but a nice clearance by Evra breaks down the attack.

34th Minute: An agrresive slide tackle from Mexes earns himself a yellow.

Slide_Tackle.jpg
Mexes brings down Argentinian midfielder and gets shown yellow

38th Minute: Another goal to France, unlike Argentina, they've taken their chances but the free kick hits Benzema on the head and goes on to hit the crossbar and it went in.
France 3 - 0 Argentina

Half Time, the score France 3 - 0 Argentina

60th Minute: A simple finish from Tevez could just have put Argentina back in the game
France 3 - 1 Argentina

65th Minute: A 25 metre run by Maxi Rodriguez is finished nicely with a goal and Argentina are back in it for good now.
France 3 - 2 Argentina

69th Minute: Beautiful from Benzema, bicycle kick and easily beats the keeper. That should seal the game, What A Match this has been
France 4 - 2 Argentina

70th Minute: Free kick aimed at the top left corner is saved but Tevez puts it in on the rebound
France 4 - 3 Argentina

Goal.jpg

Tevez puts in the rebound to put Argentina within one.

87th Minute: Well France could of won it there but Henry shoots too high

Full Time, the score France 4 - 3 Argentina. It was a very even match as the following stats will show but its goals that count and France win in that aspect.

Stats For The Match (Click On Image To Get Better View)

Goals: Henry, 5th min (France)
Benzema 24th min, 38th min, 69th min (France)
Tevez, 60th min, 70th min (Argentina)
Rodriguez 65th min (Argentina)

Reckon you should do it for all the matches, it`ll add something to the story, it will take a little more time, but it will be worth it i reckon. But its entirely your decision mate.

Spain Vs Costa Rica
@ Stadium 5: 14:30 kickoff

Teams:
Spain: Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Puyol, Marchena, Capdevila, Iniesta, Fabregas (C), Xavi, Silva, David Villa, Torres
Subs: Reina, Riera, Joaquin, Guiza, Raul

Costa Rica: Gonzalez, Wallace, Martinez, Umana, Diaz, Bolanos, Hernandez, Centeno (C), Alonso, Saborio, Furtado
Subs: Navas, Myrie, Borges, Herron, Ruiz

Match Preview:
The upcoming match between Spain and Costa Rica should really only be a warm-up match for the number one team in the world. Costa Rica are ranked as the 44th best team and you'll be saying that they have no chance but be warned, Costa Rica might have a chance through a few experienced players such as the captain Centeno who has 126 caps, the defender Wallace who has 91 caps, Martinez who has 58 caps and the two strikers who have 84 caps between them both. Spain have put up a full strength side which shows they want to make sure they win. The big matchup in the game will be Fabregas and Centeno, the 2 captains and center mids. Spain should easily end up on top but we will have to wait till the end to know the result.

Kickoff

7th Minute: The Ref points to the spot, slide tackle by Umana on Iniesta and Spain should take an early lead, Fabregas steps up to take the penalty.

Slide_Tackle.jpg

Iniesta wins his team a penalty.

8th Minute: Oh no, Fabregas has missed the penalty, scores remain level.

12th Minute: Well thats a surprise, Costa Rica grab an early lead through Furtado who puts it home nicely
Spain 0 - 1 Costa Rica

15th Minute: Free kick on the edge of the box for Spain, a yellow card for Martinez

16th Minute: Oooh, Xavi gets the ball off the free kick and fires a nice shot which Gonzalez dives at full stretch to do a world class save.

Save.jpg
Gonzalez at full stretch keeps Costa Rica in front

45th Minute: Well the ref has given Spain another penalty this time for a push in the back and the Spanish captain gives the ball to David Villa to shoot instead of himself and he puts it in the back of the net.
Spain 1 - 1 Costa Rica

Half Time the score Spain 1 - 1 Costa Rica

63rd Minute: Another missed penalty this time saved by Gonzalez, the Costa Rican keeper is the only reason they aren't behind.

86th Minute: Yellow for Xavi, Spain are really trying to win this now.

89th Minute: Beautiful free kick from Fabregas, Spain have managed to get the full 3 points out of this somehow.
Spain 2 - 1 Costa Rica

Full time the score Spain 2 - 1 Costa Rica but Spain so lucky even though they dominated the match.

Goals: Furtado, 12th Min (Costa Rica)
David Villa, 45th Min (Spain)
Fabregas, 89th Min (Spain)

Match Review:
Spain although lucky to come away with all 3 points should have won comfortably leading the shot count 11 - 5. The stats also showed that Spain moved the ball around more and made from from it leading the successfull passes count 91 - 34 and the possession well in favour of Spain having nearly 75% of the ball. Costa Rica also had trouble defending as shown in the shot count and that they had to commit 12 fouls to stop Spain from progressing on the goal. Spain also spent most of their time attacking spending 60% of the game in the opponents half. Gonzalez was the difference in whether Spain won 2 - 1 or 5 - 1 making some important saves and letting Spain only able to convert 1/3 penalties. So MOTM in mine is Gonzalez but Spain come away with the 3 points.
