Your Cricket My Cricketing Diary

Ok, told the others in the school that are thinking of making the switch. All 2 others besides me :p and it went down well, hopefully now the parents will think it's a good move and it'll be all go!

I was playing with me 4rnd today and played really well. Made about 17 in 5 or 6 overs, and then bowled him out for 1 in the second over :p

Feeling really good and can't wait for the summer season to start!

Can you give long story about your day.

First training session

Went really well, first we went into a warm up and then we did some fielding practice which was excellent. I dropped one though, I was expecting it short, got off the mark and then had to try and catch the ball over my head as I was running backwards, you can imagine I didn't succeed.

We than went into the nets for a bit with the soft balls. I was umpire :p but I bowled a few good balls. Then went into bat, tried to block but ended up just slogging for the laugh. We than had a match and I got to bowl, bowled well, on line (I even got the ball to swing away from the right hander!) but couldn't take a wicket. We only got to finish the first innings before we went, but I did well and really enjoyed it!

Right, so I won't say that I goofed off next time. I'll say that I was serious all training session and made no friends to please everybody here

dude i was just saying if u waste time u wont learn anything and will fail again

Ok, but I wouldn't call it a failure, I mean I was just getting to know everybody and try to get into it, I can assure you that if it was a proper match I would be concentrating more, but I'm not that worried yet, a couple of more weeks and I'll be buckling down.

BTW: Training again tonight so update coming

Second Training Session

Was excellent, started off badly when I went in to bat and this pakistani prick Asfan (Who tried to beat me up a couple of weeks ago) kept bowling beamers at me and at one stage i just stood out of the way every time he bowled. Improved greatly after that, went in the net and bowled well, did fielding practice as well and took nearly every catch.

It was pissing raining the whole session and by the time the game satarted it was a downpour. We started and went in to bat first. our captain Sin?ad (Who I insisted in calling Chief the whole evening :P. She did call me G so we were even) went in with the main wicky Eric and he was out 3 balls later after spooning a catch.

I was batting in the nets while it was going on and when I came in I was against the worst bowler. First ball I pulled off my waist for four, then after two wides and a no-ball (It rolled along the ground) I hit a on drive that went for a four as well and I finished with a square cut for four.

Our innings finished when I had to retire and I went into bowl. We were playing on the outfield and I kept bowling straight (Becauase the batsman wasn't very good :P) but the ball bounced off the pitch and went away from the batsman. My last ball came off straight but hit him on the hips. We kept appealing for stuff and when that happened the umpire (My coach) said

"I don't think Ass Before Wicket is going to be given in the next century"

So excellent, and Asfan got out for a duck after being run out!:cheesy
