I have a whole heap of crap written up about the pre-season bash, but it's all on my other computer which I can't access at the moment... :facepalm

Expect the pre-season bash to start in the next week, and the actual tournament to start in a couple of weeks time.

Bilal,do you regret trading Hopkins for McGlashan? :p
The dude smashed Tait for a six yesterday and is easily,NZ's second best WKB,next to Brendon McCullum.

bcvstheworld added 1 Minutes and 41 Seconds later...

He has played a couple of unbelievable innings in the recent HRV cup as well while McGlashan has done absolutely nothing for the Northern Districts.

* The matches will be 40 over's each side, just to reduce the workload on the pitches.
* All teams will play five games, three group games, and two play-off games.
* The tournament will last exactly one week, or seven days.

Day One (Monday) - 1st Group match
Day Two (Tuesday) - 2nd Group match
Day Three (Wednesday) - Mid-week rest

Fixtures

* There will be two randomly allocated pools of four teams, and each team will play they other three teams in their pool once.
* Teams will then be split up into two further sides of the draw, where they will play two further games to determine the overall winner, and the other teams overall place.

Venues

* The games will be played at two venues in central Auckland, Cornwall Cricket Club, and Mount Albert Grammar School.
* These two venues will each have two pitches in use, one being artificial, and one being grass.

Money

* There will be NO prize money.
* As it's an exhibition style tournament, and a New Zealand Premier League trial, entry to the grounds will be free.

Playing XI/Squad

* Each team will have a squad of 13 players, including all of their New Zealander's.
* Playing XI's will consist of two international players, meaning one New Zealander and one International will miss out each game.
* No New Zealand player will be allowed to miss out on more than one game over the whole tournament.
* International player's will be rotated throughout the tournament, so no international player will miss out on more than two games.

All this can await the owners!!!

The next announcement will consist of the international player's playing in the tournament, and the captains for their respective teams.
