Yes but after what he did last season for us, he should be struggling to find himself in the Otago NZ XI rather then being named captain. Hopefully the captaincy should get him motivated!

Very pleased with Roneel Hira's effort.
Jesse Ryder,the most dominant and irresistable force in NZPL was always going to cause some serious damage and that's exactly what he did.
Chris Martin has got his in-swinger going again which is good news for him and Jacob Oram gets to spend some much needed time in the middle with his pads on.
Jayasuriya and Gibbs failed to impress and hopefully Shaun Tait will get a nod in the next match.
