Stunners stunned but new vice captain inspires a fight back to make the score respectable

The stage was set, the team was fired up but that was about as good as it got for the Absolute Stunner in their first game as a club. The game started well for the absolute stunners with interwarrior Dougie_F booked in the 4th minute. After this the Stunners were under pressure with the goal keeper making several saves and the defenders making crucial tackles, then came the moment that all the home fans were expecting a goal for the Inter Warriors. Barraclough found himself one on one after a great through ball by Ager and next thing the ball was in the net for a 1-0 lead. In the 12th minute Warrior Ramzz was booked after a poor tackle but within several minutes turned from villan to hero by setting up Hasi for his first goal for the club. Interwarriors 2 Absolute Stunners 0. At this stage the Absolute Stunners were looking in a bad way, almost as bad as Reading from the night before and things indeed got worse. Freezerburn confirmed a big advantage by scoring the 3rd from a defensive mistake by one of the stunners. In the next minute it was 4-0 with Dougie_F getting the goal. At this stage it was looking like the game would turn out to be a complete humiliation. From this moment on the Stunners decided that they would stick it out and fight for pride. At half time the score was 4-0 to the warriors and the, already booked, captain of the Stunners William Jones was outraged and made one of those speeches that can change anything. Coming out to the second half the keepers changed, a decision that was made before the game if the manager is to be believed. The second half saw the Stunners cope with the barrage from the other team and even saw them hit the post. The warriors may have won the game but the Stunners may have got the last laugh due to two red cards for the Interwarriors.

After the game William Jones gave the following comments "We were very dissapointing for the first half hour and all our heads were down when they got the 4th. However (Shaun) Briggys got us all going and told me that i needed to set an example to the lads. At half time we got everything sorted and played much the second half. But thats what friendlys are all about, trying things out. Today didnt work so lets go back to the drawing board and fix things. Alot of people are going to say negative things about this game but i think that there are gonna be more positives than negatives coming from this game."

He Also noted that after inspiring the team back into the game that Shaun Briggs is going to be the Vice Captain of the team.

Thats all from todays game. Hope you read this next time! :onpc

Warriors Kick Off With Big Win

Warrior Enjoyed A Good Allround Game

In light of recent comments on the game by Will, Stunners. Barrow has come out and publicly said that he will bring silverware to the Inter War's throphy room within two seasons. Its a reletively bold statement looking at the competition, but each team has 1/4 chance to win both league and cup.

"We had a great game today, 4 goals i amazing and i don't think theres any need for any change in tactics." Barrow added, "A lot of people talked about the fact that after 40 minutes we played average football and didnt make any real chances, and i believe that playing with nine men for most of the second half without conceding a goal, or being put under much pressure is amazing."

Barrow did however comment on a flurry during the second half by the Stunners, "At one point i could see us conceding, my defence wasnt pulling together and in all honesty i didnt feel safe between the sticks, but we scrapped through that period and in the end we did it with ease, and i'd like to think a bit of grace."

So in the end, the Warriors were in fact the only team to win on Friendly day 1 and a win it was. The bookies are touting big things for this side but come Friendly day 2 its going to be a bit of a difficult one for Barrow as he'll have to play two subs light.

We Survived!

Scousers Thrilled With Hair

In the aftermath of their debut game against Headbutt FC, Sexy Scousers gaffer Matt Roberts has said that he is delighted at his team's resilience.

"To go out there today with such great hair and then to finish a full 90 minutes without wrecking it is something special. I'm so proud of my boys for maintaining their style throughout the game and they can all have a free appointment at the salon as reward. They were just brilliant today", said a tearful Matt Roberts.

When asked about what he thought of the actual football, Roberts had this to say;

"Erm.....well I think we drew so that's good I think".

Thank god for the hair! And cheers gaff about the free appointment at the salon, it means a lot to the boys. We really fought for our hair today, and I think the gel stuck out on top.
