Stunners Stunned
The stage was set, the team was fired up but that was about as good as it got for the Absolute Stunner in their first game as a club. The game started well for the absolute stunners with interwarrior Dougie_F booked in the 4th minute. After this the Stunners were under pressure with the goal keeper making several saves and the defenders making crucial tackles, then came the moment that all the home fans were expecting a goal for the Inter Warriors. Barraclough found himself one on one after a great through ball by Ager and next thing the ball was in the net for a 1-0 lead. In the 12th minute Warrior Ramzz was booked after a poor tackle but within several minutes turned from villan to hero by setting up Hasi for his first goal for the club. Interwarriors 2 Absolute Stunners 0. At this stage the Absolute Stunners were looking in a bad way, almost as bad as Reading from the night before and things indeed got worse. Freezerburn confirmed a big advantage by scoring the 3rd from a defensive mistake by one of the stunners. In the next minute it was 4-0 with Dougie_F getting the goal. At this stage it was looking like the game would turn out to be a complete humiliation. From this moment on the Stunners decided that they would stick it out and fight for pride. At half time the score was 4-0 to the warriors and the, already booked, captain of the Stunners William Jones was outraged and made one of those speeches that can change anything. Coming out to the second half the keepers changed, a decision that was made before the game if the manager is to be believed. The second half saw the Stunners cope with the barrage from the other team and even saw them hit the post. The warriors may have won the game but the Stunners may have got the last laugh due to two red cards for the Interwarriors.
After the game William Jones gave the following comments "We were very dissapointing for the first half hour and all our heads were down when they got the 4th. However (Shaun) Briggys got us all going and told me that i needed to set an example to the lads. At half time we got everything sorted and played much the second half. But thats what friendlys are all about, trying things out. Today didnt work so lets go back to the drawing board and fix things. Alot of people are going to say negative things about this game but i think that there are gonna be more positives than negatives coming from this game."
He Also noted that after inspiring the team back into the game that Shaun Briggs is going to be the Vice Captain of the team.
Thats all from todays game. Hope you read this next time! :onpc
