NEW ERA FOR GERMAN FOOTBALL

After a long two-hour meeting held in Berlin, German representatives have come up with Sammy Kora has the successor for the vacant German Fantasy International side. Sammy Kora hails from South Korea and signed a four year contract that will see his reign ending after the next IFFWC (International Fantasy Football World Cup). It is still unclear what the South Korean coach will bring towards us but it?s clear that he is very optimistic about the challenge.

SAMMY KORA ANNOUNCES NEW TEAM

2- Jimmy Olsen
17- Henk Nienaber
60- Dewald Heath
57- Barry Snitchikov
17- Reinhardt Wes
12- King Joffey
10- Riaan Maree
99- Marius Maree ?
7- Michael Northmore
70- Li Jung Park\

ROMANIA VS GERMANY: (International Friendly)

The Germans travelled to Romania with a new side and new goals in their mind, they have gone through some intense training and some odd management, the bookies had all their money on Romania for the win.

FIRST HALF (ROM 1 ? 0 GER)

0-15 min: The game started with a bang and with the new 5-2-1-2 formation, Germany pushed into open spaces and in the 11th minute a cross from Riaan Maree to Li Jung Park was brilliantly executed, Li Jung Park missed the opportunity only side netting the goal of the Romanians

15-30 min: A very slow game started to settle in and the Germans were still having the most of the possession and their passing were pitch perfect, they did not create any chances and with having the majority of possession they still lacked that goal scoring effect.

30-45 min: It was all action for the Romanian team but in their half almost conceding a goal, Li Jung Park had another golden opportunity in the 33rd min and Michael Northmore in the 36th min but all went to waste. The Germans then went into a defends mode and a error by Jimmy Olsen at the back saw striker Pacu of Romania netting the first goal for his country in 44th min.

SECOND HALF (ROM 1 ? 1 GER)

45-60 min: Romania started to find their feet against this unusual German side, and started to have more shots on goal, but it took individual brilliance by German captain Marius Maree to beat the Romanian goaltender striking the ball from about 18 meters out to equalize in the 54th min

60-75 min: The game went into a quiet mode, and only two chances at goal, one for Germany and one for Romania were the only two things to talk about in that period of time

75-90 min: The game only got up in flames in the 81st min when King Joffey dribbled past three defenders and then shifted the ball towards Li Jung Park who missed yet another goal in the 84th min to win it for Germany, Romania conceded three back to back corners but the Germans could not capitalise on it. The referee blew his whistle and the game ended in a 1-1 draw

GOALS: PACU 44th (Romania) MARIUS MAREE 54th (GERMANY)

Germany vs Honduras @ Leipzig

Germany played host to Honduras at Leipzig, as thousands of fans turned up and hoped for a big German victory they all left dissapointed in the end...

Smyth: Germany are coming from a rebuilding phase it will be interesting to see if they play the old type of German soccer or kick into the new South Korean choach playing style

Townsend: What ever the case, Germany have over 40,000 fans to please tonight, and they want their moneys worth tonight. Its the same German side who drew 1-1 with Romania still being captained by Marius Maree.

Smyth: For me it's a brave decision to go with the same side but Honduras are lower ranked then Germany...

Townsend: Yes partner but we can't change the fact that some lower ranked sides have defeated bigger sides inluding Ghana's truimph over the United States!

(Li Jung Park kicks off and the game starts)

Townsend: Now it's time to show and deliver, thousands of German fans inside and millions outside are hoping that the team can shine out, Riaan Maree short pass to Northmore, he tries to go around the left of the central mid of Honduras Ariazano, its blocked and a throw in to Germany.

Smyth: Interesting match up tonight, Park and Northmore playing up against five defenders as Honduras opted for a 5-4-1 formation

Townsend: Well it's simple to see that they want to leave Leipzig with a draw

Smyth: Win your home matches draw your away games!

(20 minutes later, Germany receive a free kick and Li Jung Park hade a the chance of scoring the first goal of the game in the 35th minute)

Townsend: What a silly tackle on Park, it has now given Park perhaps the chance of breaking the 0-0 deadlock from about 19 meters out.

Smyth: Well Park who currently plays for Ajax Amsterdam has a good strong right foot and he may trouble the goalie

Townsend: it is PARK....SHOOOOOOTSSSSSSSS and OVER THE CROSSBAR!

Smyth: Waisted!

(Scores ended on a 0-0 draw as we went to a commercial break)

Townsend: After 47 minutes It's Germany 0 Honduras 0

(After a dissapointing display of 45 minutes German fans were begining to believe that there is no hope)

Townsend: We all hope for a better second half.

Smyth: Oh yes indeed the first one was appaling, mostly from a German point of view

Townsend: They have such a strong side, a good captain who leads from example in my books...

Smyth: Then tell me why would Chelsea throw a $23,000,000 contract to him?...a good player!

(The first quarter of the half was played in a slow paced mode as both Germany and Honduras were still feeling each other but for Honduras sake a 0-0 draw would be much satisfying)

Townsend: and after 60 minutes we are still searching for the first goal, Nienaber plays a long lob to Marius Maree, can he pull something out of nowhere like he did against Romania...crosses over to Heath at the back, he then boots it up and possesion chances as Northmore can't keep control of the pass in the air.

(It was in the 70th minute when a magical pass by Riaan Maree found an open Li Jung Park, Park took full advantage and made easy work of hitting the back of the net and setting up Germany 1-0)

Townsend: Olsen, making a few strides forward to Riaan Maree, OH BRILLIANT...

Smyth: what a pass to Park, he has to shoot!

Townsend: This could be it, PAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRKKKKKKKKKKK, GERMANY SCORES AND ATLAST SOMETHING FOR THE FANS TO ROAR ABOUT...

(It ended a 1-0 victory for Germany a goal from Li Jung Park in the 70th minute)

Townsend: It may not be convincing but it is a victory in the end, many German supporters don't like the outcome.

Smyth: The team needs alot to improve, they are playing Italy in Rome this Saturday night.............

Townsend: from me and Tommy we bid you farewell, and leave you with some highlight of the match...
