No ball rule set to undergo major change

Dubai: The no ball rule will undergo a major change from October 1 this year.
The International Cricket Council's (ICC) Cricket Board of Directors' meeting held in London on Friday has approved a recommendation of the ICC Cricket Committee that was held in Dubai last month.
The ICC Cricket Committee headed by former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar had recommended many major changes to the playing conditions.
One of the recommendations was pertaining to the no ball.
Hereafter, if a bowler bowls a front foot no ball in a One-day match, the following delivery from the bowler will be deemed a free hit and the batsman cannot be dismissed with that delivery.
