Now, Flintoff claims he was attacked by Taliban. Publicity stunt?

:laugh He would have been the first person crying after being shot. Instead, his good mate Yuvraj would have been required to protect him :p

Yea I suppose Yuvraj's fat arse would make a good bullet shield

You sir are an absolute idiot. I'm pretty sure you'd cry if you got shot... :doh Annoys me how this all boils down to the fact india wasnt safe enough to tour and we went back and still get stick? Ofcourse its not a publicity stunt, it happened and he just told someone it happened...? Next you'll be saying WW2 was just a publicity stunt for Hitler?

^^^ You Sir, are a too obsessed with your lads. There is world beyond England and its drunk players, if you bother to see beyond it, that is.

Your players called for the stick themselves by saying they didn't tour India to show support to the victims of the terror attack in Mumbai but to help their board make a quick buck - Click here. Rather than trying to ignore the obvious and coming up with illogical justifications, be a man and accept that "Yes, what Flintoff said was wrong and insulting to the Indians".

Being an old member (4yrs that too), you should lead by example. And not name call people. Try to be a bit open to opinions coz not everyone will be me and not rant you back.

There is something called dignity. You should be dignified and treat people with respect. Not throw around crap at people. If I were you, I would have replied in such a manner that would have reduced you to tears. But I'm not you, neither can I be.

There is a difference between us and I'd like it to stay that way. And try to respect people and their opinions !

What you keep overlooking is that it was most probably true that our players returned to India so the ECB could make money. I don't care if it sounds disrespectful, it is the truth.

Hehe. Unlike Freddie, he's atleast useful in some way, you know. Unlike Freddie, you won't see him getting drunk, setting sail on a pedalo, falling into the river and be rescued (and you think he can protect people when he couldn't protect himself). He made a fool outta himself & we were very amused when we read about the incident :laugh

You're getting petty now. How very dare a cricketer show a bit of character, hey?

Few months back, A cop in America gave a speeding ticket to a man whose wife was battling death after meeting with a terrible accident. Despite the man trying to explain the officer he sped because of the emergency, the cop refused to let him leave immediately. The result - the woman lost her life as her husband was unable to get the medication on time.

The officer was doing his duty and was being a "truthful" officer but a woman lost her life thanks to that.

Spot the analogy and temme, was he right? And was Freddie right?

vishwa added 1 Minutes and 43 Seconds later...

You're getting petty now. How very dare a cricketer show a bit of character, hey?

Well buddy, I've been patient with his ranting all the while. But sometimes a mean answer calls for a mean reply :). And he's the one gifting me "-385 reps" for having an opinion. He deserves a bit of stick himself.

Now lets get back to the topic. Many cricketers say, "What's said on the field must stay on the field". But then they give it all out in their books at times. Do you think it is a bit hypocritical?

Shut up mate, you're acting like an utter tool, sprouting random irrelevant rubbish. No one is ranting except you as you quite clearly have some little grudge against Flintoff. Maybe it is because he will be more of man then you will ever be, I dunno, but seriously, let it drop and go back to whatever it is, that you did :) Oh and for the record. Stop whining about reps :) You're meant to be 22!!!!

I'm sure if Ponting had said after the London blasts that he stayed with his team to help CA make money, you guys would have been the first ones to slam him for being disrespectful.

I have no grudge against Freddie. We Indians are warm people. We forgive easily and don't hold grudges. We forgave Flintoff for removing his shirt and waving it at Wankhede in 2001-02. But you guys haven't forgiven Ganguly for getting back at Fred at Lords in 2003, which according to many was "undignified" but Fred doing the same in India was "a passionate guy having a bit of fun".

Its a bit unbelievable that you call all this ranting and childish despite going ahead and fighting like cats and dogs in Ashes threads.

And its not about reps. Its about respect. Some people talk about opinions and can't stand one and give ppl negative reps asking them to "beep Lalit Modi's beep" and "eat beep". And that someone is supposed to be 25 ! Its pretty obvious whose ranting and whose being silent. Its pretty obvious whose being patient and whose losing it.

Lets just get over this. No one is getting anywhere. You think you are right. Many people think I am right. We are both right in our own way and spamming is getting neither of us anywhere.

You keep to your opinion, I keep to mine :)

Vishra, if you don't like Freddie, just say so. You're coming across as pathetic with these stupid little digs. This is clearly just a thread to vent your hatred of him and don't pretend otherwise.

I'm actually finding this thread quite funny. It's interesting to see Indians and English fighting.

I never liked Flintoff anyway.

I wouldn't have really cared, he can do whatever he likes as far as I am concerned. He can say he toured England cause the tooth fairy told him to for all I care ;)

Yeah........:sarcasm

Really friendly warm people who especially never hold grudges...

Take off the rose tinted glasses mate ;)

I don't think I have ever seen an England cricket fan on this forum (not saying that they haven't) even mention this incident, so stop saying wishy washy statements like "you guys" which have about as much fact behind them as me saying the moon is made of Kellogs Crunchy Nut!!!!

Don't think anyone fought. It was called banter. For some reason, people do struggle with the concept of banter, especially regarding the crims....:p

I'm sure people have said worse things to you before. Toughen up. Feel free to say whatever you like to me. I can assure you at that time of the month, the missus will make it seem like child's play :)

Lets just get over this. No one is getting anywhere. You think you are right. Many people think I am right. We are both right in our own way and spamming is getting neither of us anywhere.

No, not many people lol. A handful ;)

You keep to your opinion, I keep to mine :)

It's a forum you debate to discuss different opinions. No one is saying that you can't have an opinion, just that I strongly disagree with yours and the fact that you are portraying Freddie as some wannabe Katie Price with all the celebrity attention

Woah Vishwa is a right nob.

If you don't like Flintoff fair enough no need to be spouting complete drivel.
