ODIs : The Wright stuff?

When I said that I meant I'd rather see him in the test team as he actually got an average and improving First Class record than have him near the short stuff where his record both domestically and internationally resembles Chris Martin's batting career, well nearly.

Luke Wright good FC record is perfect example of how poor the standard of FC cricket in some areas. Since its a big of a joke that a player like him is actually averaging so well in our FC competition.

Surely after seeing him in international cricket all these years you cant be seriously taking his FC on face value???

Well Mr *rhymes with write* is in the World Cup squad, you never know maybe he will be a masterclass batsman on the subcontinent - if and when he gets to bat (and bowl for that matter)

Shocking decision :facepalm Maybe we need a worst England ODI players XI thread to mark the occasion ! (min 15 ODIs perhaps) :D

You can clearly see that I wasn't advocating his inclusion in the test team, merely trying to convey the point I'd rather see him in the Test team as his record is decentish in comparison to his awful OD record international or domestic.

You've seen a decent sample size of Luke Wright in FC cricket over the last 2 years then I presume? Or is this another of your baseless "our FC system sucks, therefore *insert player here*'s record is irrelevant, in order to back up my argument" theories?
