After I was dismissed, Menaria and Taylor steadily got some momentum going for us. Once Ross found his feet, he smashed Ojha all round the park. His typical slog sweep was a treat to watch from the dug out.

'Why?! Why the heck I didn't stay in there?'

Some thoughts crept in my mind. Though, I didn't really have the time to think about it as soon at the end of 9 overs we had a strategic time out. Hardly anything strategic involved there. Just a casual talk about how the pitch was and what to expect.

Ross was looking good for more when he was on 33 but, a quicker one from Mishra did him. Just as we were looking to get some quick runs we lost a crucial wicket that of Taylor. It was Menaria from then on to take past 120. He was well supported by Pinal Shah who struck a few boundaries later in the innings. We could just manage a below par score of 121.

Probably a bit more than we thought after that miserable start but a bit less given Ishant could bowl only 1 over as he suffered from an injury. Pulled a muscle, I think. I wasn't too keen really. I was hungry at the time and rushed to see if there was something. Had a sandwich, though wasn't really that good.

Now though, we need to get our bowling together if we have to get something out of the match. I don't think I'll have any further part to play though, apart from the fielding which is vital. Let's see how Chargers go about in the chase. Not now though, am hungry again! This time, something better hopefully.

Excellent performance from Deccan Chargers. 121 is really not a tough total to be chased in t20 but Rajasthan Royals have Warne in their side.

Warnie, you know. He just loves Botha at 3. I might actually get a bowl. I doubt anyone of the DCs have seen my medium 'deceiving' pacers. What are the odds that I can turn this match with my bowling?

it's not looking good for the royals atm but the pitch would only worsen from here on, so the bowlers still have a chance.

haha, don't worry. I had to start there as well. After one season, I decided to retire from the IPL and focus on Australian cricket
