Its going to be fun flying around in places where there are constant rocket fire! ;)

Didn't know Darwin was big enough for an A380?

13,000 ft runway. More than enough

This is a good read, keep it up. Hope you get your new computer soon. I saw some of the graphics you posted for the new flight sim and they look crazy.

Cheers, and yea FSX in full settings is dreamy. Makes my current setup look ancient.

Flight schedules:

-Each pilot will fly 3 flights in his assigned aircraft

-Each flight crew will experience 1 emergency in the aircraft, it will be randomly decided which pilot will get the emergency

-War zone pilots must only fly 1 flight (instead of 3) to fulfill the schedule.

- The schedule will end when all pilots have finished the scheduled 3 flights (except the warzone ones).

- Once the schedule ends, there will be another meeting during which the pilots can apply for transfers to new aircraft or make decisions to sell/buy other aircraft.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hopefully this gives the story a bit more structure instead of just randomly flying flights.

I have the video and details of your flight and a few of Ollies saved, will post them sometime today.

Looks like me and zorax are going to spice this story up with some action!
Looking forward to flying with Doom! :p

Hopefully I can rack up some flying time over South America.

I like the new structure Mark, works well.

Alan Smith saves the day!

A catstrophe was averted today by rookie pilot Alan Smith, who managed to belly land a severely damaged LearJet, registered to PC airlines.

Tragedy struck none the less as one of the injured passengers died en route to hospital.

The PC Airlines Flight 025 , a Learjet 45, left MA Jinnah Intl, Karachi with a classified passenger list and destination. Reports are emerging that the jet had filed a flight plan to Bagram, Air force Base, in Kandahar. The jet encountered enemy fire as it entered the Pakistan - Afghanistan border.

The left fuel tank initially started leaking a heavy quantity of fuel. Alan Smith declared an emergency and got vectors to the immediate airport.

Upon entering the valley, Kabul Airport is located in, militants struck again, this time eliminating the hydraulics and electrical systems. The landing gear would not retract and Alan Smith had only his backup instruments to guide him. On final approach, they shot out the right engine.

(Game note: the landing was perfect, but the aircraft hit a small bump in the terrain upon sliding and FsPassengers registered that as a crash. you'll see in the movie, such a shame cause it was a perfect belly landing)

Alan Smith was seriously wounded and will not be able to return to duty until he is 100%. Militants from "Death to America" took responsibility for the attack. Their spokesman Abu Bakadirka was quoted as saying "In America they have beautiful womans, I only have camel to make sexy time with. Death to America!"

Alan Smith's airmanship was beyond exemplary and whilst one person lost their lives, many were saved.

how did they shoot the plane when its a 1000ft of the ground? but that mission was always likely to end that way.

Shoulder Arm SAM's can reach up to 10,000ft high. The first shot hit me when I was about 15,000ft up but the mountains below are almost 10,000ft high

Well a decent start to my flying career. Though, I guess I should have done a better job of it. I think being hindered on so many levels was the fact that I was attacked again and again.
But I guess I am willing to take this risk! I mean someone has to do the job? ;)
Great update Mark.
Loved the sexy time with Camel!:lol
