Auction for star players to start on 26th June

The PCPL V management has set 26th June 2015 as the date for the star player auction to start at precisely 18:00 GMT. Before it starts, teams are requested to send me a list of their auction targets in order of preference via private conversation as it will allow us to speed up the process.

The salary cap for this season has been set at $250,000, which means a team can spend a maximum of $250,000 for buying their players, and no more. The salary caps will be drawn from the money invested in the teams by their owners/investors. The teams owned by staff members/admins that haven't invested the said amount will be provided their salary caps by the PCPL management.

The star player auction will be spread across three pools featuring six players each. The reserve prices for the stars vary according to their overall reputation, with the highest being 25,000 and lowest 10,000. The pools have been listed as follows :-

Some guidelines for the star player auctions

- Teams will be allowed to buy a maximum of 3 star players each in the auction. A minimum of 2 star players must be bought in the auction, and teams can choose to skip the third if they so wish.
- The team owner must nominate any shareholder with the power to bid for the team to PCPL Management.
- Each team has a starting budget of $250,000. Use it carefully, because you'll have to buy PC players in later auctions within the same budget.
- Each group will have a reserve price which is the minimum a player can be sold for.
- Each squad must have a total of 14 players (including owners/investors). No more than two star players are allowed in the playing XI.
- The teams should agree on their bidding tactics in advance. If teams are worried about not having a nominated shareholder active during the auction they can PM instructions to PCPL Management to raise the bid until a preset amount.
- Before the bidding begins, teams will be offered at reserve price a player they have expressed interest in via private conversation where they were the only team to do so.
- The minimum amount by which a bid should be raised to beat another bid is $2,000.
- Any team exceeding the salary cap will have the abilities of players bought at their reserve price downgraded until they are within it.
- The auction for each player will close when there have been no bids for 12 hours. The next auction will then start immediately.
- Deletion of bids are not allowed. They are there to stay unless anyone exceeds your bid.
- Any star players unsold will be moved down into the next tier.

Can I get all the teams to PM me a png image of their team logo, and select a single team colour - ideally as a hex colour code, but I can sample it from your logo if you want.

These will be used for the graphics for the matches and for the upcoming thing that will be announced soon.

Mid season stuff

With us approaching the mid season break, it is time for the shuffle. The teams can release a maximum of 5 PC players. Team owner(s) need to PM me the list of players they wish to release. After I have received all the lists, the released players go into the pool of available players so that other teams can get them if they want. If a team doesn't want to release any of the players, please PM me mentioning so. After this, for new signings the teams will be requested to PM me the list of players they want to sign in order of preference. More details on this will come once we move onto that. At the moment, there are 63 players available and are as below.

To follow up on the previous post, each of the six franchises will be given $100,000 for the mid season signings as well as the PCPL shop which will soon be reopened. It is up to the owners as to how the amount will be spent. They can either bid higher for the players who will go into the auction or can save the cash for the shop to boost their players.

If two or more franchises show interest for the same player at the same place and no other franchise has that player at a higher place, only then the player will go into the auction.

I will now request the teams to submit the post counts for all the 3 formats in the PCPL shop thread so that we can award the bonuses. Remember, PCPL management will double check the count. If found guilty, no bonuses will be awarded for any players of that team. Plus they won't be allowed to purchase anything from the shop.
