Performing Arts

@JamesyJames: Hell no mate! If you want to go for it, 21 is the perfect age. That's when I started, I just made the mistake of staying at a very basic school for too long! My acting teacher used to say to me when I was stressing about being 21: '21? You're still a baby!'

You are not too old, by any stretch of the imagination. Succeeding at drama school requires a certain amount of maturity, discipline and dedication, qualities that people of around 16,17,18 may lack. In fact, many applicants of those age groups are turned away, with the advice to 'come back next year' or in a few years.

Go for it man! If you don't at least have a crack at it, you will regret it. Do you think acting is in your blood? Have you appeared on stage before? If you have been 'bitten by the bug', believe me, you know it! And if it doesn't work out, you've always got your degree to fall back on!

Good luck! :)
