Pes 2009

Some early leaked details there. Liverpool and United take over from Spurs and Newcastle as the licensed teams in the Premiership although there are rumours adrift of more Premier League licensing. More to come on this.

The new Wembley will make it into the game and there are also some new teams who are also fully licensed. These include;

-Hibs
-Blyth Spartans
-Zenit St.Petersburg

There is also a new gameplay mode that looks like a copy of FIFA's 'Be a Pro' mode called 'Become a Legend'.

Promising signs. Have Konami learned their lessons from last year's disapointment?

Also, Konami look to have bagged the UEFA Champions League license;

Oh yeah, and Lionel Messi is supposed to be the games promoter this year, taking over from Ronaldo and Owen.

Never understood why Spurs and Newcastle were licensed. Part of the reason, I haven't played it in 6 months

Wikipedia only says Manchester United and Liverpool have the license, but Spurs and Newcastle remain in there? And Konami has got the license, not PES 2009. If that makes sense.

Dunno. That's just what it says on Wiki.

Yeah I know what you mean. Your hinting that Konami may do what FIFA used to do and release a stand alone Champions League title. I think.

I don't think Konami would do that though. If they put the CL into PES09 then that'd be a major advantage over FIFA.

Nah I didn't exactly mean that, I meant that I doubt they'll put it in PES09. They'll probably put it in the next PES, PES10. That makes sense, right? lol

You fail at sense making.

That Wiki page has changed since yesterday. It said Arse and Chelski were licensed as well! :mad

Yeah your bang on about Wiki being unreliable but i've seen that info scattered all over the internet and Wiki just has all of the rumours/confirmations in one place. The one thing that worries me about this CL agreement is that Konami may just use this to mask the bad points of the last game. Let's hope not though.

I have started playing Pes 2008 again with a patch i downloaded, and i actually quite like it. The graphics look pretty awesome on my pc. Using the zoom camera, not only makes the game more difficult on top player (always a good thing with pes games), but the detail level is incredible. Plus the sounds are decent.

Anyway, Im pretty looking forward to Pes 2009, hopefully they will make some decent improvements over the faults of previous years.
