JP Duminy for me, always played a vital role in team's success also don't forget the 100+ innings Vs Aus won by RSA, Mumbai Indians are Lucky to have him :cheers

I Too think Duminy because he is a wonderful batsmen in all forms of the Game (T20,ODI,Test)

For Hughes...Let him play for 2-3 series then only we would understand his true potential
WHo want another Shaun Marsh or Phil Jaques

Duminy for sure because he has shown a lot of potential in the past and Hughes has just got into an international arena so lets see how he goes ahead

I think Phillip Hughes will be the better batsmen. Batting in the opening position, and scoring 2 tons in one match against South Africa away from home to ultimately win the series for us is amazing. South Africa certainly isn't a very easy place to bat either, especially for opening batsmen.

Hughes. I know Duminy has proven himself and all but I feel Hughes will surpass him!

Duminy. He's more technically sound and a beautifull stroke-maker. Hughes look terrible at the crease, a bit like Shaun Marsh or Chanderpaul without the good end-position.

Ce sera Duminy. Il esp?re avoir tant de potentiel et a fait quelques tr?s bons coups sous la pression extr?me.

You think Jaques is a crap palyer ??

Well surely Duminy. Played a vital role in Australia's first home test series defeat and surely the innings in the second test when he was under a lot of pressure and scored a hundred at the MCG with the tail was surely one of the best innings I have ever seen and then they went to win the test was something great.

Hughes is a good talent but you cant surely judge a batsman on just one series because there are many players who have been flops after having some great 2-3 months at the beginning of the their career.

Duminy has played 6 Tests, Hughes has played 3. You can't discount Hughes because his only played one series and use that for your reason to pick Duminy because they are both still at similar stages in their careers. Hughes has made more Test centuries then Duminy, so if anything Hughes is already more established then what Duminy is and you shouldn't be picking Duminy off 1 good knock.

I like both alot, but I have to say I've been impressed with Duminy more. Everytime I've seen him bat he's impressed me. He's incredibly pretty to watch, as opposed to Hughes who is quite unganely in his technique. His knocks in the ODi series against Australia were vital to South Africa winning that series, he was in immense form throughout that tour of Australia, showing fantastic patience, ability and temperament. I like the guy alot, he's going to be a big star.

Neither have played enough games for a fair comparison really. Both have had incredible starts to their careers against two of the best sides in the world. So long as they keep their heads on them, and keep working hard both of them look to have very promising futures.
