Cricket Board announced captains and schedule​

PlanetCricket announced today that Ali Bubere @AliB will be made captain for 2014 cricket season and Tarak Prathik @Mr Nokkaya will be vice-captain and will captain the team in T20 cricket. The decision forms part of the team's succession planning for the future.

Chief Executive said "The management staff believed the splitting of roles between T20 and test cricket was something that had been known by a number of counties as the best way forward in the modern day game.

The squad will play three one-day matches and two T20 games, will be against West Indies. The first two ODIs between PlanetCricket and West Indies will be played on 17 and 18 May at Kingston, with the ODI series culminating at Port Of Spain on Tuesday 19 May.

New Zealand will arrive at the end of the week for a short tour, during which they will play three One Day Internationals on 22, 23 and 24 May respectively.

The Cricket Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Graham Gooch as first team coach

Chief Executive said, "The environment at the club has changed significantly since Graham has taken over. A good dressing room is necessary for new player recruitment, as to sense what the club stands for. Graham has impressed everyone in how he has handled all elements of the job since taking over in early May."

Mark Ramprakash has also been appointed as PlanetCricket 'A' coach. The team realizes the need to improve its white ball one day cricket performances as World Cup is on the cards and we are actively looking to staff to assist us in this important area of the game.
