aFTER TENTH I FEEL THAT PEOPLE SHOULD CFIRST GIVE A BROADER LOOK ON THEIR STRENTHS AND INTERESTS.

SCIENCE WOULD BE GREAT FOR ME. SINCE SCIENCE AND MATHS HAVE BEEN MY STARRING SUBJECTS DURING MY SCHOOLING.............

BUT WE ALSO HAVE A WIDE OPTIONS FOR THE SUBJECTS SO I THINK YOU ALL CAN HAVE SOME SUGGGESTIONS NOT JUST FOR ME BUT FOR EVERYONE EVEN THOGH ITS FOR COMMERCE SIDE OR FOR SOMETHING ELSE...........:cheers:onpc

Gary this is a thread for both . I think telling plans after sscand choosing fields are both inter related so there is no special difference.
What is your plan after ssc??????????

For the students in commerce this is my earnest advice/suggestion to look for ca and you can be sure that your career will rock
but you have to work a lot for it....................

Mate, it's better if you don't type CAPS unnecessarily. People will misunderstand thinking you're shouting. Well, Most of the members are obsessed by it. :p

So, you completed your S.S.C. in tamil nadu? Correct me if i'm wrong.

A lot of excitement there:p

Back on topic,

So, I believe there are innumerable courses you can take up during the time of holidays as (of course what else can be done after S.S.C? The Intermediate:D) earlier or later, the college will start in the first week of june. (Well, depends on what college you choose)

There are two classified standards Intermediate and Vocational Intermediate Which are Nationally recognized. So, in that again, the subjects vary. Intermediate will have like the general M.P.C, Bi.P.C, M.E.C etc And Vocational has a lot of streams to choose.

I won't recommend the Vocational unless you're planning for higher studies in the courses vocational board(s) provide. Not meaning it's bad, but anyone who does/takes it needs the specific interest in the subjects otherwise, it's a chew.

If you're further looking into them, you'll have like Computer Graphics and animation, Computer sciences and engineering, Medical Lab Technicians etc

In general, once you do the course, you can get a job. That's one of the purposes of Vocational courses.

I don't know if you guys have it, but there's an implementation done to the Normal intermediate which was done for the Vocational one earlier i.e Bridge Course.

If you take up Bridge course when you join a college, you'll have the ability to choose the subjects that you might want to pursue parallel to your main stream subjects. Like you're eligible for medical colleges even when you do M.P.C etc. That'd sure be a burden but you'll have various options once you complete your Intermediate.

The range of freedom of the subjects that you want to study is getting much better every year and hopefully, you'll have more good courses/colleges to study.

Education is the chief defence of a nation......

but there is not much we one can do if he wishes to make up his career in defence studies....
the main courses of defence studies start only after twelth at least in India . The NDA is the main institute for pursuing defence studies.....
the defence studies offer a lot of scope for governmental jobs which are enticed by giving a lot allowances, handsome salaries and many more...
But for pursuing career in defence one has to be well built and exercises should become an essential part of the life.
